MOTHER NATURE BEATS EVERYONE AT THOMPSON

THOMPSON, CT. The week- long rain storm that has been plaguing New England forced the cancellation of the Thursday Night Thompson Thunder race event for May 19th. The seemingly endless rain and drizzle forced Thompson Speedway management to “pull the plug” on the popular Thursday night race program and to look forward to resuming the series on Thursday, May 26th.

“We wanted to announce the cancellation of tonight’s program early so that fans and competitors alike would have time to change their plans. It’s especially tough on those who travel a long distance to learn of a cancellation when they have already driven half way here. It’s not easy to cancel a program early in the day, but the weather forecast seemed to give us no other option,” said track owner, Don Hoenig.
