White Mountain Motorsports Park Race Preview
THE STORY
Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine, heads back to one of his best PASS North Series tracks when the series competes in the PASS 150 at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, N.H., on Saturday, May 21. Doiron collected one of his five career Top-10 finishes in this race a year ago, and he’s looking for a second straight Top-10 finish after finishing 10th with a destroyed race car last weekend at Star Speedway. He had a sure Top-5 finish erased in a last-lap accident at Star that sidelined his primary car for this weekend.
N. Woodstock, N.H.- Pro All-Star Series Driver #97 Joey Polewarczyk Jr of Hudson N.H. will make his second consecutive start in the Super Late Model Series, when they visit the extremely fast quarter-mile White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) this Saturday, May 21, 2011
Polewarczyk Jr, coming off his Career best third place finish at Star Speedway on May 14, looks to continue with his recent success in the Series. “We felt that getting the podium finish at Star was a weight lifted off our shoulders. We knew the Pole’s Automotive, N.H. Precision, Hedman Hedders Ford Fusion was capable but we just needed to seize the opportunity” Joey says. (more…)

THE STORY
Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, looks to keep his momentum rolling when the PASS North Series competes in the PASS 150 at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, N.H., on Saturday, May 21. Sommerville is coming off a fourth-place finish at Star Speedway in Epping, N.H, and the Mulkern Racing driver sits third in the series points after the first two races of the season. THE STORY
Cody Hodgson of Escalon, Calif., will compete in the Pork ‘Be Inspired’ 175 at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa, on Saturday, May 21 – a combination race for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. Hodgson enters the fourth race of the season sitting 10th in the East Series standings, and the Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender is looking for his second Top-10 finish of the season. Iowa — a sister track to Richmond International Raceway, where the series last competed – represents the largest track Hodgson has ever raced on at .875-miles.

Shaw, the son of former NASCAR K&N Pro Series East champion Dale Shaw finished sixth last season in the championship standings piloting his No. 60 Precision JLM Chevrolet Impala courtesy of one top-five and six top-10s, but will make his first start for veteran Spraker Racing team this weekend. NORWOOD, MA. In three weeks, the 7th Annual Norwood Arena Reunion will take place on Sunday, June 5, at Bezema Motors on US Rt. 1 in Norwood, Mass., the Auto Mile. Every year this event has become a focal point for those fans who, years ago, lined up at the ticket booth to get their weekly dose of racing action. In fact it was so exciting that rainouts caused much disappointment for those who were caught up in the racing wars at the 1/4-mile bullring between Modified greats such as Bill Slater, Bugs Steven, Pete Hamilton, Jack Malone and Leo Cleary among others. Many of these daredevils went onto great heights including Hamilton of Newton, who won the 1970 Daytona 500. He was the first of a few New Englanders who made it into big-time NASCAR action. (more…)
