The April 9 2011 Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Sanctioned super late model race carries a purse in excess of $155,000.00 with a minimum of $75,000.00 to the winner of the 300 lap battle royal. Drivers eligible for the PASS loyalty bonuses could walk away with a $100,000.00 pay day, more than Jeff Gordon earned when he won the last major league event at the storied speedway.

Thunder Road Announces 2011 Schedule

Waterbury, VT – Barre, Vermont’s Thunder Road has announced its schedule for their 52nd season. The famed high-banked ¼ mile will feature 18 shows, including two American Canadian Tour (ACT) events.

The 2011 Thunder Road season will commence with the 13th Annual Merchants Bank 150 ACT event on Sunday, May 1. The second Tour event is scheduled for Sunday, September 4 with the 33rd running of the 200 lap Bond Auto Labor Day Classic.

The driver of the No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevrolet Impala for Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is in only his second year as a driver/owner in NASCAR’s elite series. But as a 10-year open-wheel owner in USAC and the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, Stewart has scored 13th championships, the most recent of which came last Saturday night when driver Levi Jones captured the USAC National Sprint Car Series title for the second straight year. Busch Sport Scene publisher George Campbell will debut his new book, Busch North Scene: A Ten Year Retrospective, at a book launch party being held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn on November 20, 2010.

Campbell covered auto racing for a variety of national and regional publications in the 1990’s. In 1999 he started his own news print publication, Busch North Scene. His goal was to cover NASCAR in the northeast region of the country with the newspaper. Within two years, George and the staff members had grown the paper into the number one selling NASCAR newspaper on news stands through out much of New England. (more…)

Waterbury, VT – American Canadian Tour (ACT) officials announced the 2011 Bond/WIX Tiger Sportsmen Tour schedule featuring three 100-lap events at three different venues.

The Limited Late Model division, which has been competing at Thunder Road in Barre, VT since 1964, will begin their season on their home track as part of a 100-lap double header during the Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic on Sunday, May 29.

NAPLES ME (11/16) Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry has released the entry blank for THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro Speedway, along with a comprehensive schedule and pertinent information for the unprecedented super late model showdown set for April 7-9 2011 at North Wilkesboro Speedway. The 300 lap event will carry a purse of $153,920.00 with a minimum of $75,000.00 to the event’s winner. In addition there’s nearly $45,000.00 in PASS loyalty bonuses available to PASS North and South teams that meet the criteria, including a whopping $25,000.00 bonus that could easily be claimed by the race winner.

NSCS Race Recap: Edwards Wins At Phoenix; Hamlin’s Chase Lead Shrinks

AVONDALE, Ariz.(Nov. 14, 2010) — Jimmie Johnson didn’t have the fastest car in Sunday’s Kobalt Tools 500 at Phoenix International Raceway — at the end of the day, race winner and polesitter Carl Edwards did.

Johnson, the four-time defending NASCAR Sprint Cup champion, didn’t lead a lap. Denny Hamlin, ahead in the points and seeking his first title, led a race-high 190 laps.

WESTFIELD, MA – Phil Bessette and Kyle Smith were crowned as the 2010 points champions of the East Coast Mini Sprint Association at the club’s 18th annual awards banquet, which was held at the Westwood Pub and Restaurant. The club sanctions the 750cc Mini Sprint races at Whip City Speedway.
