(Stafford Springs, CT)—Thanks to its Xtra D program, Xtra Mart Convenience Stores will contribute $3,750 in bonus money to Stafford Speedway drivers during the 2015 season. This Friday night, July 3rd, will be the SK Light Modified division’s turn to take home their piece of the Xtra Mart pie. The SK Light top-5 finishers will each receive a $100 bonus from Xtra Mart meaning the feature winner will take home $550 in purse and contingency bonuses while the 2nd through 5th place finishers will go home with $240 or more.

The twelve-time K&N Pro Series East feature winner will pilot the Alphacon/WDW Machine ride, normally driven by Matt Frahm.

Andrew Crosby of Hermon crossed the finish line first in the Modified Enduro class at Speedway 95 Wednesday night, but was disqualified in post-race inspection for an engine rule infraction. Milo’s Dustin Lancaster’s win streak went to three, as he was declared the race winner. Scott Bonney of Carmel then finished second, after having been passed by Lancaster on lap 22 of the 25 lap feature. Pole sitter Rhonda Crain of Hermon finished third, followed by Delaney Dunn of Eastbrook and Kevin Hathaway of St. Albans Vermont.

(Thompson, CT) – On Wednesday, July 8th, Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) will host the 2nd annual Late Model 20/20 Sprint featuring TSMP’s premier fendered division. The first two 20-lap races will both give the opportunity for Late Model teams to earn championship points. The third 10-lap race, though not counting for points, will be factored into determining the purse for the evening, which includes a $1,000 prize for the race winner. As an added bonus, the winner will also earn a position as a guaranteed starter for the 100-lap American Canadian Tour race at the World Series on Oct. 16-18, 2015. Rick Gentes, who’s seen podium finishes in the first two Late Model races at TSMP this season, will be looking to claim these coveted prizes next Wednesday.

Barre, VT – The 56th Independence Day celebration at Barre’s Thunder Road kicks off this Thursday, July 2. The holiday doubleheader weekend sees two events in four days at the “Nation’s Site of Excitement”, and many of the championship contenders will be established by the time the final checkered flag flies.
The weekend begins on Thursday, July 2 at 6:30pm with Aubuchon Hardware Night featuring the annual fireworks show. The battle royale in the Thunder Road Late Models will be the feature attraction on the track, as Barre, VT’s Nick Sweet and N. Haverhill, NH’s Derrick O’Donnell enter the night tied for the points lead. The evening concludes with one of the best fireworks displays in the Northeast.

The AIM 60 will be the first time North America’s longest running Super Late Model series has ever competed on a 1-mile oval and they will be joined by the North East Mini Stock Tour (NEMST) and an open race for the Sportsman/Limited Late Models. And, if that was not enough, Sunday’s event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will be the third race of the PASS National Championship Series, attracting many top PASS racers from the Southeast to the Granite State, including Tate Fogleman and Spencer Davis.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT – After completing two championship events in the inaugural season, the North East Street Stock Tour has seen hard racing at the front of the pack, but with a high level of respect as well.
Chris “Moose” Douton picked up the victory at Seekonk Speedway (MA), after John Hanafin’s exciting blast through the field came up short, due to a mechanical failure. Douton’s win did not go uncontested though, as Joe Arena filled Douton’s rear-view mirror in the closing laps.

(Epping, NH) – Derek Griffith, the 18 year-old Hudson, NH native picked up another victory in Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) competition this past weekend at Star Speedway and set a series record in the process.
Griffith became the first driver to win three races in a single season on the fledgling series. Derek led all 100 laps, en route to his second consecutive victory and third in the last four GSPSS races.
