Seekonk Awaits Valenti Modified Racing Series Saturday

VMRSCanaan, NH. – The Valenti Modified Racing Series heads to Seekonk Speedway, Seekonk, MA., on Saturday, August 17, the next stop on the series 10th anniversary tour. The season long heated battle for the series championship continues and a strong field of cars is expected at the famed oval.

Since the start of the season, the point’s battle has been the best ever and with eight races remaining on the series schedule; it’s promises to get better.

Rowan Pennink, of Huntingdon Valley, PA, currently the series point leader, headlines the list of entries for Saturday’s 100-lap green flag race.

Pennink leads Tommy Barrett Jr, of Millis, Ma., by a mere 4-points heading to Seekonk. Pennink and Barrett will be two drivers’ fans can expect to be chasing the checkered flag.

VALENTI MODIFIED RACING SERIES RETURNS TO THOMPSON THIS WEEK

VMRSTHOMPSON, CT The Valenti Modified Racing Series will return to the Thompson Speedway this Thursday, July 25. This week’s race will mark their second appearance of the VMRS at Thompson in 2013. However, their first race on May 15th, was cut short by rain after only one qualifying race had been completed.

Fans have been anxiously awaiting the return of the VMRS to Thompson. They are scheduled to run qualifying races and a 75-lap main event. This will be the 6th race of the season for the exciting touring Modifieds. Thus far, there has been only one repeat winner in this extremely competitive division. Tommy Barrett has collected two wins and, as a result, leads the VMRS point chase as they head to Thompson. Other Winners this year include Steve Massee, Rowan Pennink, Louie Michalides and Dwight Jarvis.

Valenti Modified Racing Series Returns To Oxford 250 Weekend

VMRSCanaan, NH. – The hot summer schedule and 10th anniversary season continues this weekend, Saturday, July 20, when the Valenti Modified Racing Series returns to Oxford, Maine, for the 40th annual TD Bank 250 weekend. The series will be making its sixth appearance at Oxford in the last seven years.

In previous events, five different drivers have visited victory lane at the famed oval. Two are expected Saturday.

One is popular local favorite, David Pinkham of Buxton, expected to compete in the Tom Greeley owned # 22. Pinkham is a three-time series winner and the 2008 winner of the Oxford race.

Joe Doucette, of Framingham, MA, has run a limited schedule this season but will return to the site of his first and only series win. Doucette electrified the crowd in 2011 when on lap 97; he passed for the lead to a thunderous roar from the grandstands

Valenti Modified Racing Series On Home Turf Saturday

VMRSCanaan, NH. – When the Valenti Modified Racing Series swings back into action Saturday, July 13, it will be a homecoming for the New England racing organization. Well sort of. The series is headquartered in the town of Canaan, NH, the next stop on the schedule. Canaan Fair Speedway, a 1/3-mile facility, will host the open wheel modified series for the 11th time in 10 year.. As the 10th anniversary season rolls on, the point’s battle continues to be the
buzz after five completed races.

Huntingdon Valley, PA., hot shoe Rowan Pennink holds a slight 8-point lead over 18-year old Tommy Barrett, of Millis, MA., heading to Canaan. Louie Mechalides, of Tyngsboro, MA., finished just outside the top 10 at last weeks Monadnock Speedway event, dropping him to third in the standings but only 12 points back. Richard Savary, of Canton, MA., still holds down fourth, while Nashua, NH., veteran Norm Wrenn has quietly moved into fifth based on a sixth place finish at Monadnock.
