New Faces In Spotlight As PASS South Readies For Return To South Boston
CHARLOTTE, NC (August 11) – With a slight reprieve in sight from the scorching summer heat that has gripped the South this year, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model teams are busily preparing for their annual August trip to South Boston Speedway this weekend. The venerable Virginia short track has hosted the South’s top Super Late Model series since 2006. Adding to this Saturday night’s slate of action will be Twin 75’s for the NASCAR Late Model Stocks.
South Boston Speedway’s 4/10 mile layout and multiple grooves of racing always provide for top flight action when the PASS South Super Late Models come to town. In the series first trip to the speedway back in June, Kyle Busch Motorsports’ driver Kaz Grala withstood a late-race challenge from Jared Fryar and Clay Rogers to take the win.

Waterford, CT- Saturday marked the return of Wings and Wheels to the New London-Waterford Speedbowl for the 8th consecutive season. The Valenti Modified Racing Series, along with 6 other divisions were on the card for the annual event.
Starting the night off, the SK Modified division took to the track for 35 laps of open wheeled action. Leading the field to the first green flag of the night was Jeff Gallup. Gallup led the first 5 laps until Rob Janovic used a move to the inside to take the lead, with Tyler Chadwick and Joey Gada following. The yellow flag came out on lap 7, when Tim Jordan made contact with Craig Lutz, sending Lutz into the Turn 3 wall. On the ensuing restart, Chadwick used the high side to power by Janovic, and never looked back. Chadwick came into the night trailing Diego Monahan by 7 points. Monahan, who started the race in 10th, had to pit early for a loose fuel cap and had to battle back through the field, where he finished 6th. Lutz came into the night tied for fifth in points with Keith Rocco, a points race that was separated by just 15 points from 5th to 1st. Gada, Rocco, Janovic, and Paul Kusheba rounded out the top 5. Rob Fuller Motorsports Ready to Keep Momentum Going at Thompson Speedway
Ron Silk to Drive the 15-40 Connection Modified in Pursuit of Third Consecutive Top-10
SHREWSBURY, Mass. (August 10, 2015) – Coming off of two Top-10 finishes from the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s (NWMT) recent stop at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Rob Fuller Motorsports is looking to keep the success going with another solid finish in the Thompson 150. Ron Silk will pilot the 15-40 Connection Modified for the team at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.
“We had another strong run at Loudon, led a lot of laps and grew as a team,” said Rob Fuller, team owner. “Momentum in this sport goes a long way, and I finally feel like we are at a turning point. Loudon was Ron’s first race in a LFR Chassis with a Spec engine, and I feel we are starting to understand what the other needs to succeed. Putting all our effort into one car was a plus as well. With everything going on at LFR, it is difficult to put the required time and focus into running one car, let alone two. Ryan and the guys have been working hard at the shop preparing for this week where we run two races in seven days despite the tracks being 800 miles apart.”
