Joey Polewarczyk races his way to a seventh place finish at NHMS

(Loudon, NH)- Joey Polewarczyk took some chances in a new front suspension set-up and it paid off for the 22-year-old, Hudson, NH native. Polewarczyk raced his way from a 32nd starting spot to a great 7th place finish in the 2011 edition of the ACT Invitational; held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 24.

“We tried several new items on our front suspension, our goal with that was to really get a better feel off the corners. We had an abbreviated practice session early in the day and we learned quite a bit on how the car would act during the main event.”

Diverse Team to Officiate Annual North-South Shootout

Asheboro, NC: Over the last several months, a number of changes have been announced for the ninth annual North-South Shootout ™ for 2011. After eight successful years, the event has been moved to Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, NC. There will be new management in place for the 2011 event and there will be a host of new personnel.

Among the new personnel for 2011, competitors will also encounter many familiar faces. Shootout “veterans” will work alongside Caraway Speedway officials to ensure fair and equitable treatment to all competitors.

RECORD-SETTING HAGAN READIES TO BUILD ON MOMENTUM AS DIEHARD TEAM HEADS TO THE NORTHEAST

MOHNTON, Pa. – Being the quickest competitor in NHRA Funny Car isn’t new to the driver of the DieHard Dodge Charger. Matt Hagan has reset his own national e.t. record three times, but he’d like to do a few more things, including make more history of his own as the Countdown to the Championship continues with the 27th annual Auto-Plus® NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway near Reading, Pa.

The defending event winners of the third of six events in the NHRA Full Throttle Countdown to the Championship are Larry Dixon (Top Fuel), Cruz Pedregon (Funny Car), Dave Connolly (Pro Stock) and Andrew Hines (Pro Stock Motorcycle).

Buffington Wins Again On Nascar Sprint Cup Morning

LegendsThe Amsoil Nelcar Legends Tour made a return to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Sylvania 300 Nascar Sprint Cup Series event. This race was huge not only because it had only the best of the best in New England in this invitational only event, but also because it marked a year since the first event for Legends Cars at “The Magic Mile.” Although the racing is much different than most drivers in the North East are used too, they have adapted well and put on a great show for the thousands who packed into the seats. Those fans were treated to a spectacular race as the drivers took to the quarter mile as the pre race for the Sylvania 300.
