Speedway 660 Race Preview
4-time PASS North Series champion Ben Rowe of Turner, Maine, attempts to win for a second straight time at Speedway 660 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, when the series competes in the Pro All Stars Series 200 on Saturday, June 12. Rowe won this race a year ago with his former team, and he aims to put Mulkern Racing in victory lane for the first time this season. He’s won twice in series history at Speedway 660 and enters this weekend third in the PASS North standings — one of only two drivers with top-5 finishes in each of the season’s first two races. His father, Mike, is the other.

Speedway 660 Race Preview
PASS North Series Rookie of the Year candidate Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine, gets back behind the wheel this weekend with the Pro All Stars Series 200 at Speedway 660 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on Saturday night, June 12. Doiron is coming off consecutive top-10 finishes at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway and White Mountain Motorsports Park to start the season, putting him an impressive fifth in the PASS North standings. The Noble High School senior will miss his graduation Saturday in order to compete north of the border at the track he’s never seen before.

GAUDET AND LANDRY RECORD GRAND SLAMS DURING
SUNDAY’S STOCK CAR ACTION AT CFS
(Shediac, N.B.) — Former CFS Street Stock Champ, Rémi Gaudet (#22) and last year’s runner-up in the Mini Stock division, Martin Landry (#00) both from Grand Barachois recorded grand slams during the POGO ‘Full Contact’ stock car racing event held on Sunday, May 30 at the Centre for Speed (CFS), Atlantic Canada’s Super Speedway and “Metro Moncton’s Playground of Power”.

Montmagny, QC – St. Denis, QC’s Patrick Laperle makes it two in a row with a win in the Montmagny 100 at Autodrome Montmagny on Saturday, May 29. Laperle, who earned the season opening win at Autodrome St-Eustache last weekend, started in the 16th position and worked his way through the field to the lead on lap 24.
The 2007 Série ACT Castrol Champion would lead the rest of the way while holding off Karl Allard and Daniel Descoste for the win. Allard came home second followed by Descoste in third. Alex Labbe took fourth while Jonathan Desbiens earned his first career Série ACT Castrol top five with a fifth.

Patrick Laperle Wins Série ACT Castrol Season Opener
St-Eustache, QC – Patrick Laperle of St-Denis, QC won the season opening Série ACT Castrol event at Autodrome St-Eustache. Laperle worked his way to the front after starting in the 19th position and took the lead from Jonathan Urlin on lap 39. The two swapped the lead once more before Laperle took over for good on lap 43.
Pete Vanderwyst of St. Thomas, QC took second with St-Felicien, QC’s Karl Allard third. 2009 Série Castrol Champion Donald Theetge finished 4th and Urlin rounded out the top five. Sylvain Lacombe, Jean-François Déry, Martin Lacombe, Jonathan Desbiens, and Gaitan Lauzier completed the top ten.

CFS KICKS OFF STOCK CAR RACING SEASON
WITH ‘SHEDIAC SHAKEDOWN INVITATIONALS’
(Shediac, N.B.) — The Centre for Speed, Atlantic Canada’s Super Speedway and “Metro Moncton’s Playground of Power”, will kick off its 2010 stock car racing season
with the ‘Shediac Shakedown Invitational 50’s on Sunday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m., the first of 18 stock car racing events to be presented at the CFS during 2010.
Sunday’s event will feature CFS championship points racing, including bonus points for all competitors and free admission for all drivers, in the four regular divisions of Super Sportsman, Shediac Sportsman (formerly Street Stock class), as well as the 4-cylinder Mini Stocks and Four Fun divisions.
