Granite State Pro Stock Series Heads to Unity Raceway.
Canaan NH – In a joint announcement made at the Racers Expo in Portland Maine on
Sat. Feb 24th, Unity Raceway promoter, George Fernald and Granite State Pro Stock
Series president, Mike Parks announced that on Sat June 23rd the GSPSS will make their
first appearance in the state of Maine. “Unity Raceway has a rich tradition of Pro Stock
racing and I am thrilled that we will be able to be a part of Unity’s schedule for 2012”

PAUL TOMMASINO LOOKING TO PUT HIS CAR INTO THE TOP-5 IN STAFFORD’S SK LIGHT MODIFIED DIVISION THIS SEASON

(Stafford Springs, CT)—After making his Stafford debut for the final 3
races of the 2010 season, Paul Tommasino returned to Stafford’s SK Light
Modified division in 2011 and ran 12 of the 19 races, posting his first
career top-10 finish in the process. For the 2012 season, Tommasino is
looking to take his car to the next level and be a consistent top-5 threat

Devil’s Bowl Speedway Awarded NASCAR Capital Improvement Grant
Vermont track receives $10,000 at Daytona conference
DAYTONA BEACH, FL — Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, VT has been awarded a grant for capital improvements and facility upgrades worth $10,000 from NASCAR. The prize was awarded on Saturday, February 18 during a conference at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL.
Under its new ownership for 2012, the asphalt half-mile Devil’s Bowl track will see installation of a new concrete retaining wall and paving of the pit garage area access roads. The NASCAR funds are part of a total $100,000 grant divided among ten weekly local speedways in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program.

DAVID ARUTE MAKING MOVE INTO STAFFORD SPEEDWAY’S LIMITED LATE MODEL DIVISION FOR 2012

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Fresh off of his rookie season in Stafford’s DARE
Stock division and a championship winning season in the Wild Thing Kart
Senior Outlaw division, David Arute will make the move into the Limited Late
Model division for the 2012 season at Stafford Motor Speedway. After making
his DARE Stock debut in 2010 with one top-10 finish in 5 starts, Arute
flourished in 2011, posting 7 top-5 and 16 top-10 finishes in 17 starts.
Arute’s numbers were good enough to place him 7th in the final DARE Stock
points standings despite the fact that he missed 2 races. The prospect of
moving up a level in competition has the high school senior looking forward
to the 2012 season.
