Beech RidgeSCARBOROUGH, Maine – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., finished sixth in the American Canadian Tour 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, July 30. Hoar started the feature on the outside pole after an impressive 9th-to-4th-place run in his heat race, and he cleared the polesitter on the first lap and went on to lead 43 laps. He would eventually be passed, and settle into the Top-5 for the rest of the race as his handling continued to go away. In the closing laps, Hoar battled with teammate Austin Theriault to give RPM Motorsports two cars in the Top-6 at the checkered flag.

ACT Tour RacingSCARBOROUGH, Maine – Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, continued his strong mid-summer performance with a fifth-place finish in the American Canadian Tour 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, July 30. Theriault’s first ACT Late Model Tour Top-5 of the season comes one week after his impressive podium finish in the TD Bank Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine – where he became the youngest Top-3 finisher in the 38-year history of the Oxford 250. The RPM Motorsports team will travel to New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Tuesday, August 2, to begin testing for the ACT All-Star Challenge, which will be held during IZOD IndyCar weekend at the track on August 12-14. Beech RidgeSCARBOROUGH, Maine – Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine, took home his first career NASCAR Whelen All-American Series win by taking the checkered flag in the 40-lap Pro Series feature event at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday July 30. Doiron started third and led every lap to claim his first victory since winning in the track’s Sport Series in 2007. With only one caution period slowing the field on Lap 6, Doiron was able to pull away from the rest of the field and take the win by a full straightaway over Aaron Ricker for the first career Super Late Model win for the 2009 ACT Late Model Tour and 2010 PASS North Series Rookie of the Year.

Hudson Race Report – July 31st

Hudson N.H. – Hudson International Speedway held a double feature night for all three of its regular divisions this past Sunday, July 31st.

John Morin Jr. had the best night winning both Rookie Stock features. Morin Jr. extended his points lead with his third and fourth wins of the season. Morin Jr. started deep in both fields and was methodical in slicing through slower cars on his way to both victories. Also in the top five after Morin Jr. in the first feature were Dave Helliwell, Jerry Lepage, Bob Riopelle and Dan Murphy Jr. In the top five in the second feature after Morin Jr. were Corrie Merritt, Helliwell, Billy Clement Jr. and Murphy Jr.

PASS Pros seeking Seekonk Redemption Saturday

Naples ME (8/2) The Pro All Stars Series(PASS) North super late models are back in action this weekend at Seekonk (MA) Speedway on Saturday August 6 and the teams that travel the east coast will all be looking to accomplish one thing – To see a PASS regular in the winner’s circle!

PASS has made an annual appearance at Seekonk Speedway since 2009 and the speedway’s home town heroes have claimed both wins. Tom Scully Jr. did the trick in 2009 and Dave Darling got the job done in 2010. The PASS pros have been plenty competitive, but its rare when the home track regulars shut them out of victory lane for two races in a row.
