Scarborough,Maine- Recent inclement weather forced scheduling difficulties that saw Beech Ridge Motor Speedway hold a super show on Saturday night. The NASCAR Pro Series 100, The Budweiser Sport Series 100 and Wildcat 50 were all contested on the same night rounded out by a 20 lap Road Runner feature. The Pro Series took to the track first for the 100 lap grind. Dave Oliver who missed qualifying races due to major mechanical problems in the final afternoon practice session, started last on the 20 car grid. At the end of 100 laps Oliver stood in victory lane. Don Whitten paced the field for the opening 35 laps with Bill Rodgers and Aaron Ricker chasing. (more…)

Dylan Turner is Saturday night ace at Unity Raceway

Unity, Maine – Just a week past his high school graduation ceremony, third-generation racer Dylan Turner of Freedom showed the veteran racers the quick way around Unity Raceway Friday night, winning the 35-lap Late Model feature race.

The youngster took the lead from Skowhegan veteran David Folsom I, who already has been to victory lane this season, on the 12th laps and held on to the top spot for the balance of the event.

Shane Narbonne Claims 88th Loudon Classic

LOUDON, N.H. (June 18, 2011) -At just 21 years old, Shane Narbonne of Tyngsboro, Mass., captured his second Loudon Classic checkered flag this afternoon, during the oldest running motorcycle event in North America.

Narbonne, who has been racing motorcycles since the age of seven led all 14 laps. The race finished six laps short of the 20-lap scheduled event due to a red flag incident. Loudon Road Race Series rules state that if the race is at the halfway point and the red flag is thrown, it is deemed an official race.

Weymouth Takes Second Straight Thursday Opener

The Amsoil Nelcar Legends Tour was back at one of the best race tracks in America on Thursday night, Beech Ridge Motor Speedway for round one of Thursday Thunder! It was the start of the 15th year of Thursday Thunder, and the Legend Cars have been a part of the popular midweek event since the very beginning. 21 of the best drivers in New England were ready to race on the 3/8th mile oval, and as always, their show didn’t disappoint.
