USAC DMA Midgets Return to Bear Ridge June 18;
July 2 Show Added; Hank Rogers, Jr. Joins DMA

BRADFORD, VT – Following their successful 15 car debut on May 28, the USAC Dirt Midget Association returns to Bear Ridge Speedway on June 18 for their second visit of the season.
Denny Zimmerman, the 1971 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year, was unable to make the opener because he was a guest of honor at the Indy 500, but he’ll be back behind the throttle of the Skip Matczak Midget that Kevin Chaffee drove to second place. Zimmerman plans to compete in all the remaining USAC DMA events at Bear Ridge this season. (more…)
D.J. Shaw Delivers Season Best
For Spraker Racing Enterprises In K&N Series
MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (June 8, 2011) – – D.J. Shaw delivered a season best finish for Spraker Racing Enterprises this past weekend at Bowman Gray (N.C.) Stadium in the Army Strong 150 giving the team some welcomed momentum heading to Gresham (Ga.) Motorsports Park this weekend.
The inaugural event at Bowman Gray (N.C.) Stadium was bound to produce some excitement and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East delivered that. The 21-year old Shaw in his No. 37 Precision JLM Chevrolet Impala methodically worked his way from his 18th starting position and used patience during a race that featured yellow flag fever to solider on to an impressive fifth place finish. Emma Libby from Hudson, ME regularly races at Speedway 95 but there was no racing because of the “Monster Jam”, so Emma made the trip to Unity Raceway this past weekend to compete in the teen’s class. Emma is only 13 years old and is ready to take on Maine’s Toughest Track.
Emma’s Uncle Doug, drove the 23 car for a number of years and now it’s her turn to go fast! Her dad does all the work as the crew chief and mechanic. (more…)
The AOW Modified Tour started their 2011 season at Petty International Raceway in River Glade, NB on Saturday June 4 as a support class for the Lucas Oil 100 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour event.
A huge crowd was on hand, and the 20-lap AOW Modified feature didn’t lack in excitement, as #64 Paul Costain (Moncton, NB) picked up his first ever AOW Modified feature win. 2009 & 2010 AOW Modified points champion #98 Mike “Sparky” Raeburn (Hampton, NB) finished a strong 2nd, while #48 Jamie Brown (St. Martin’s NB) had another of his many strong finishes coming 3rd.
