ACT Announces ACT Late Model Tour and Série ACT Castrol Edge Schedules
Waterbury, VT – The 25 year-old American Canadian Tour announces over $1 million in purses and prize funds for its touring events in 2011. ACT releases 2011 schedules for its two Late Model touring series; the American-based ACT Late Model Tour and the Canadian-based Série ACT Castrol Edge. Schedules consist of 12 events for both tours including three combination events plus several non-point counting special events.
The ACT Late Model Tour will begin their campaign on Sunday, April 17 with the traditional NH Governor’s Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH. They will then have three events during the month of May starting with the Merchants Bank 150 at Thunder Road in Barre, VT on Sunday, May 1. Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, ME will have their first of two (2) events in 2011 on Sunday, May 15. The Tour will then complete their May schedule with their first ever trip to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Fair Haven, VT on Sunday, May 22 with the 37th Annual Spring Green 111. (more…)

Huge Purse Announced For Ricky’s Race At Canaan in 2011
W.Springfield, MA. – In a joint announcement last night, Valenti Modified Racing Series
President and founder, Jack Bateman, and retired racing great Donnie Miller Sr, disclosed, the annual event, Ricky’s Race For Kids, will carry a purse of $36,350, the largest payoff in the eight year history of New England’s premier modified racing series. McKennedy Crowned Modified Racing Series Champion for 2010
West Springfield, MA – Jonathan McKennedy of East Chelmsford, MA, was crowned series champion for the second year in a row Saturday night, November 20, as the Modified Racing Series, sponsored by Bob Valenti AutoMall.Com, held it’s 7th annual awards banquet at the Clarion Hotel, W.Springfield, MA. McKennedy also claimed top honors in the car owner’s category. The 23-year-old driver was a four-time winner this season claiming wins at Lee, N.H., Waterford, CT., Seekonk, MA., and Claremont, N.H. Valenti Modified Racing Series Announces 18- Race Tentative Schedule
W.Springfield, MA – Valenti Modified Racing Series President Jack Bateman announced last night a tentative 18-race schedule for the 2011 season. Bateman disclosed the schedule at the series annual awards banquet in West. Springfield, MA.“The schedule is tentative at this point while some options are worked out,” Bateman told the gathering.
