Race Report – Hudson Speedway July 24th racing

Hudson N.H. –Jarrod Soucy won his fourth Thunder Light feature of the 2011 racing season this past Sunday July 24th at Hudson International Speedway.

Carlos Esquivel had the best race of his career leading the first half of the feature until Soucy got past him. Following Soucy at the finish were Justin Beecher, Chad Wendell, Meegan Lord and Esquivel. Soucy won the heat.

RICKY’S RACE TRIPLES CONTRIBUTION TO DAVIDS HOUSE

Claremont, NH – The final tabulations are in, the numbers are staggering too most.

racers to compete for and raise as much money as possible for David’s House,
the Lebanon, NH., based facility that provides a home away from home for
needy families When the final figures were totaled this week, mission accomplished.

Over $100,000 Raised for Local Children During LENOX Industrial Tools 301 Weekend

LOUDON, N.H. (July 20, 2011) -With the curtain closing on the LENOX Industrial Tools 301, it is time to add up the gracious donations raised through the New Hampshire Motor Speedway chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities and so far this year, over $100,000 has been raised.

The money, along with additional fundraisers throughout the remainder of the 2011 season will be distributed at the end of the year to children in need throughout New England.

Buffington Wins Nascar Sprint Cup Series Opening Legends Race At NHMS

The Amsoil Nelcar Legends Tour was on the big stage this past Sunday, July 17th. They were the opening event for the Nascar Sprint Cup Series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. 21 of the best Legends Car drivers hit the quarter mile for what was one of their biggest races of the season. There was just a ten minute practice session to get the cars ready for the race, and the practice session doubled as qualifying for the feature. Tom Gray in the 18 car was the quickest, while the 23 of Shaun Buffington, who has dominated NHMS this season in Legends competition, on the outside of the front row.

PENALTY COSTLY FOR MACDONALD AT NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Eddie MacDonald and the Grimm Racing team rebounded from a blown motor in practice on Thursday for the K&N Pro Series East New England 125 at NHMS but could not overcome a late race penalty to finish in ninth place on Friday. The NEMO-New England Mechanical Overlay Chevy ran in the fourth position when a lap 78 caution gave MacDonald the opportunity to pit for four new tires and return to the track as the last car on the lead lap. When the green flag waved, MacDonald was penalized for an improper line-up forcing a drive- through penalty. The Grimm Construction Chevy returned to the track
in the 28th position one lap down. The #71 quickly passed the leader Brett Moffitt to get the lap back and began a charge to the front but ran out of laps.
