12 More Invited to Bond Auto ACT Invitational at NHMS
12 more invitations were extended to ACT teams for one of the biggest racing events of the fall: The 4th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational. Invited teams will take part in a 50-lap event on the big stage at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 22 on the weekend of NASCAR’s Sylvania 300.
The first of this installment of invites will go to past Invitational winner Eddie MacDonald, of Rowley, MA, who has recorded two victories in the first three events. MacDonald will be an early favorite to win, but he will now face stout challenges from Oxford Plains Speedway 2012 Champion Shawn Martin, as well as nine-time Oxford Plains Champion Jeff Taylor. Top ACT veterans Glen Luce of Maine and NH’s Randy Potter will join the prestigious list, ACT rookie sensation Jimmy Hebert will cut his teeth in the event, and multi-time Twin State Champion Guy Caron will be added to the starting grid.

Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, will look to improve upon his runner-up finish the last time the PASS North Series visited White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, N.H. in the PASS 150 on Saturday, September 8. Sommerville has turned in three straight Top-10 finishes to jump to fifth in the overall PASS North Series standings in the Mulkern Racing No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders/Southern Maine Motors Chevrolet, just 55 points out of the lead with three races still remaining. He finished second at White Mountain less than a month ago in a rain-shortened event, and Sommerville has three Top-5 finishes in four career starts at the banked quarter-mile.

Championship race moved from Lee USA Speedway; Championship to be decided Sept. 16
CANAAN, N.H. — Canaan Fair Speedway will host the Granite State Pro Stock Series season finale on Sunday, September 16. The previously scheduled championship event at Lee USA Speedway has been canceled.
“We made this decision based on the best interest of our competitors,” Granite State Pro Stock Series President Mike Parks said. “Lee USA Speedway wanted to make this an open competition event, as they have had in years past for Oktoberfest. We have canceled our sanction of the event to honor their wishes, but we definitely look forward to working with Lee USA Speedway in the future.”

Ten More Teams Invited to Bond Auto ACT Invitational
ACT officials have announced invitations 11-20 for the Bond Auto ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 22. These ten teams have earned their invites through their performance in either the American Canadian Tour or Série ACT Castrol.
Invites have been handed out to top drivers spanning across the Northeastern U.S. and Canada. Rhode Island’s Ray Parent, who currently sits inside the top ten in ACT points, has earned his second invite to the Invitational in his two years on the Tour. 7-time American Canadian Tour Champion Jean Paul Cyr, and Vermont’s Jamie Fisher, as well as Scott Dragon piloting the Richard Green Racing #16NY have gained entry to the 50 lap event. Quebec star Dany Trepanier, who sits sixth in the Série ACT Castrol, will take his shot seeking to be the first Canadian to win the Invitiational.

PASS North title showdown begins at White Mountain Saturday
Plenty of contenders for 2012 Championship
The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late models make their final trip over the mountains to North Woodstock New Hampshire’s White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday and the season long points battle couldn’t be a whole lot tighter.
Just ten points separate the top three as the 2012 season begins to wind down. Cassius Clark leads DJ Shaw by nine markers, and Travis Benjamin is just one back from Shaw in third.
