SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bobby Timmons III of Windham, Maine, finished 21st in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 8. Timmons was among several cars who were collected in a multi-car incident on a Lap 2 restart after a mid-pack car spun in front of the rest of the field. Timmons started 12th in the main event after a solid effort in both practice and qualifying earlier in the day, but saw his feature efforts thwarted with a wrecked race car before even getting a single full lap at speed.

NASCAR Whelen All-American Series: Bradley Babb
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Report
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bradley Babb of Windham, Maine, finished second in the season-opening NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 1. Babb, the reigning NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track champion at the track, started 4th in the 24-car field after missing most of the day’s practice while trying to resolve a mechanical issue with the No. 4 Babb Wood Contractors/McGoldrick Bros. Blasting Chevrolet. He never ran outside the Top-5 in the main event, emerging from some spirited racing with the runner-up finish. Babb joins the rest of the field when they return next weekend, June 8, for the second race of the season.

SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bobby Timmons III of Windham, Maine, finished fifth in the season-opening NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 1. Timmons recovered from misfortune in his qualifying race and a mid-pack starting spot to roll to the Top-5 in the Mulkern Racing No. 48 Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep/Timmons Machine Dodge. Timmons was one of many drivers to come out of the feature event showing signs of a rough night behind the wheel, but he was encouraged by a strong start to the season. He’ll return to action next Saturday night, June 8, for Round No. 2 of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at the .333-mile oval.

Bell Wins in Tight Modified Finish at Devil’s Bowl Speedway
Bates shines in Late Models, Wood wins exciting Enduro
WEST HAVEN, VT – Alex Bell topped the winners’ list during a night of exciting stock car racing action and close finishes at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Friday, May 31. Bell earned the sixth Bond Auto Parts Modified victory of his career during Whelen Engineering Night presented by Mobil 1 for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. Bell, 21, of Cambridge, NY, led every step of the 35-lap feature race, but never had more than a two car-length advantage. After taking the lead from polesitter Jamie Proctor in the first corner, Bell ran a consistent line but was unable to shake perennial Modified championship contenders Vince Quenneville, Jr. and Ron Proctor.

THE STORY
EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – Emily Packard of East Montpelier, Vt., returns to her home track for a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 35-lap Late Model feature at Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., on Saturday, June 1. Despite setting the fastest time in all three practice sessions on opening day at the track, Packard was caught up in an on-track incident and finished 13th on Saturday, May 18. Packard looks to rebound this weekend and climb back into track championship contention.
