Tyler Church Claims Hometown PASS South Win At Hickory

PASS RacingHICKORY, NC (September 22) – Part-time competitor and hometown favorite Tyler Church claimed his first career Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model win Sunday afternoon at Hickory Motor Speedway in the 7th running of the Over The Mountain 150 Presented By CV Products. Church took the lead with 13 laps to go from Johnson Motorsports teammate and 4-time Hickory Motor Speedway winner Preston Peltier and held on the rest of the way to take an emotional victory in front of the hometown fans.

“I wasn’t going to give up, but I owe a lot to Preston [Peltier] because he’s got these cars figured out and I’m privileged to get to drive one,” said an emotional Church in victory lane. “Man, this is home. Mama’s buried in the cemetery on the hill. This is special.”

Eddie MacDonald Wins 3rd Bond Auto ACT Invitational and Pockets $8,300

Loudon, NH – Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, Massachusetts claimed his 3rd Invitational win in the 5th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 21. MacDonald pocketed $8,300 for his efforts as he fended off ACT Champions Wayne Helliwell, Jr. and Brian Hoar. MacDonald has previously won the ACT Invitational in 2009 and 2011.

The “Outlaw” MacDonald worked his way through the field from his 26th starting position and seemed to settle in to the top five through the halfway mark. Polesitter Travis Stearns and Quinten Welch swapped the lead over the first dozen laps and two of the three total cautions. Following the second restart, eight-time ACT Champion took the point and battled with Welch until the third and final caution at the halfway point.
