Montmagny, QC — The ACT 100 at Autodrome Montmagny in Montmagny, QC scheduled for Saturday, May 25 has been postponed due to weather.
The race scheduled for Saturday would have been the season opener for the Série ACT, kicking off an 11-race championship chase with unprecedented money on the line. The series came to the track three times in 2012, seeing former Champions Karl Allard, Patrick Laperle, and 2013 title favorite Jean-Francois Dery take victories. A make-up date will be announced in the near future.

THE STORY
WINDHAM, Maine – Third-generation champion Bradley Babb of Windham, Maine, returns to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, May 25, for the season-opening Pro Series 40. Babb won the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track championship at Beech Ridge last season after winning this race, and he plans on trying to become the track’s first third-generation multi-time champion – after both his grandfather, Robert Babb Sr., and father, Bobby Babb, each won multiple championships during their careers at the .333-mile oval. FALMOUTH, Maine – Bobby Timmons III of Windham, Maine, returns to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series with a 40-lap Pro Series feature event at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, May 25. Timmons finished sixth in the final Pro Series standings in his first full season of competition last year, and the Mulkern Racing No. 48 Timmons Machine/Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dodge returns in 2013 with championship aspirations for the second-generation driver. For race fans, the upcoming weekend highlights many of the pinnacles in racing. Open wheel’s Indianapolis 500 and the Grand Prix of Monaco and stock car racing’s Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte are some of the most coveted trophies in all of motorsports.

The Northeast Mini Stock Tour made its one and only appearance this year in Maine at the Wiscasset Speedway last Saturday night. Under the bright lights, thirty-one cars raced in an action packed fifty lap feature.
Starting the lineup were heat winners Mike Mason in an Acura Integra No. 51, the No. 33 driven by Matt Sonnhalter, and Shawn Swallow driving the No. 04. In what proved to be a close-quarter race, leader changes at the start were swift. Sonnhalter drifted back in the pack. Car No. 53 driven by Glen Thomas wove through traffic and took second place, George Fortin in his No. 9. advanced from sixth place to third.

Hebert Penalized for Post Race Technical Infraction
