(Halifax, NS, May 19, 2013) Halifax, NS’s John Flemming raced his Action Car & Truck Accessories Dodge Charger from the back in just 25 laps to win the 2013 Season Opener Lucas Oil 150 at Scotia Speedworld on Sunday night. Flemming started on the outside with three laps to go and rode the outside groove to the victory around defending series champion Shawn Turple of Enfield, NS. Greg Proude of Springvale, PE rebounded from a late spin in Turn One to finish third with Daryl Mahar (Hubley, NS) and sophomore Steve Ross (Waverley, NS) completing the top five.
Flemming started the day off taking the top spot in the Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials with a quick circuit of 14.285 seconds. Following a shake-up of the top nine drivers and a 10 lap race, Shawn Tucker of Fredericton, NB took home the King Freight Dash for Cash giving him the pole position to start the Lucas Oil 150. Dartmouth Dodge Heat Races were won by Proude, New Glasgow, NS’s George Koszkulics, and Antigonish, NS’s Donald Chisholm. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro) backed up his sixth place starting spot in the Lucas Oil 150 by finishing sixth and taking the first Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race Award of the season. Terry Dougay (Albany, PE) gained 21 spots to receive the Absolute Traffic Services Hard Charger Award. Turple led 66 laps to pocket the Linde Most Laps Led Award. Five leaders swapped the lead ten times throughout the 150-lap affair.
Justin McNeil (Bedford, NS) won a 50 lap Maritime League of Legends Tour race to start the day off. Joining McNeil on the podium was Matt Moore (Falmouth, NS) and Emily Meehan (Rawdon, NS).
The next event for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is the Fast Eddie Racewear 100 on Saturday, June 1st at Petty International Raceway at 6:00 pm.

Runner-up finish in borrowed car keeps Joey Doiron atop Series standings
Vallee-Jonction, QC – Patrick Laperle of St. Denis, Quebec rebounded from an early-race spin to earn his first trip to victory lane in Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model competition in six years on Saturday night in the Frameco 150 at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jonction, Quebec.

Plattsburgh, NY – Two weeks ago at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, Eight-time American Canadian Tour Stock Car Champion Brian Hoar lost the race by .028 of a second – the closest margin of victory in ACT history. The ACT 100 at Airborne Speedway on Saturday, May 18 was decided by the exact same margin, but this time it was all Hoar, earning the victory with an epic last lap pass of ACT Point Leader Jimmy Hebert, leaving rival Wayne Helliwell, Jr. to round out the podium in third.
In the early going, Hebert muscled by polesitter Eric Chase in the outside lane to gain the lead, bringing Helliwell in tow along with Tiverton, RI’s Ray Parent. The trio split from the field, setting a blistering pace that sent the leaders into lap traffic before lap 30 of the 100-lap event. Meanwhile, Hoar quietly worked his way from his 13th starting position into the top five.
