Canaan, NH. — Plainville, CT, veteran Ted Christopher passed under the checkered flag first Saturday night but Sunday morning found himself disqualified from the race due to a rules infraction.

Christopher led the majority of the “Wings & Wheels 100” at New London-Waterford Speedbowl until a lap 93 pass by Chris Pasteryak, of Jewett City, CT, who then pulled way until a late race caution. On a green-white-checker restart, Pasteryak and Christopher hooked up in a side-by-side battle until Christopher made an inside pass move on the last lap to go on to an apparent victory.

Canaan, NH. – The Valenti Modified Racing Series heads to Waterford, Connecticut, Saturday, August 8, to the famed New London-Waterford Speedbowl for the 8th annual ‘Wings and Wheels’ event, a program with a heavy emphasis on open-wheel racing.

Series founder Jack Bateman announced Thursday a 50-point deduction penalty against driver Richard Savary, of Canton, MA, for his part in a last lap crash at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway (ME) last Saturday. Savary has been placed on probation for the balance of the season.

Woody Pitkat, of Stafford Springs, CT, maintains a 24-point lead over Richmond, New Hampshire’s Todd Patnode heading to ‘The Bowl.’ Todd Szegedy, of Ridgefield, CT, is a close third to Patnode (254-248) with Chris Pasteryak, of Jewett, City, CT, fourth (237) and Nashua, New Hampshire’s NormanWrenn, (212) fifth. All top-five point men are competing at Waterford.

Scarborough, ME. – Anthony Nocella drove the family owned ‘Nocella Paving’ # 92 to victory Saturday night, August 1, in the Valenti Modified Racing Series sanctioned race at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, Scarborough, ME. The race format was Twin 50
lap features.

The victory was the second series win for the 22-year old driver from Woburn, Massachusetts’s. Nocella is the eighth different driver to win at Beech Ridge.

Valenti Modified Racing Series Heads To Vermont’s Devil’s Bowl

gsdrserCanaan, NH. — The Valenti Modified Racing Series returns to the State of Vermont for the first time in five years, Friday night, July 24, when the series competes for the first time at Fair Haven’s famed Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The series last race in the Green Mountain State was May 2010, at Barre’s Thunder Road Speedbowl.

Friday’s race marks the halfway point of the season with Stafford Springs, CT, hot-shoe Woody Pitkat, riding a 34 point lead into Vermont over second place driver, Todd Patnode, of Richmond, NH, entering the Newport Chevrolet ‘100.’

Valenti Modified Racing Series Set for Debut at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Friday

VMRSWEST HAVEN, VT – History will be made at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Friday night, July 24, with the Newport Chevrolet-Buick-GMC 100 – the track’s inaugural event for the Valenti Modified Racing Series (VMRS). The low-slung, high-horsepower, open-wheel VMRS Modifieds will make their debut on the Rutland County half-mile oval as the headline event, in addition to four divisions from the weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series presented by Yandow Sales & Service and John Deere.

Szegedy Survives Crash Filled VMRS Return To Claremont

sdrdgfgClaremont, NH. — In a race that saw Kirk Alexander and Dwight Jarvis,
two of the series top drivers sidelined after contact on the opening lap, close to 90 minutes later Todd Szegedy, himself a victim of a spin and minor contacts , was in victory lane at the conclusion of the Valenti Modified Racing Series ‘Claremont 100’ Friday night.

Szegedy, of Ridgefield, CT, passed race leader Chris Pasteryak of Jewett City, CT, on lap 92, to go on and win his second race of the season before a large crowd at Claremont Speedway, Claremont, NH.
