Oxford, Maine – Shawn Martin of Turner made his first start in an Oxford Championship Series Pro Late Model a successful one Sunday afternoon, driving from the rear of the starting field to the front of the pack, claiming victory in the 40-lap headliner at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Skip Tripp of Poland scored his first victory of the year in the 30-lap Allens Coffee Flavored Brandy Street Stock feature race. Lisbon’s Nik Coates wired the Allen’s Cofee Flavored Mini Stock division’s 30-lapper, while the Ripley & Fletcher Ford Outlaw Sportsman division honors went to Corey Morgan of Lewiston for the second consecutive week.

THE STORY
NORWAY, Maine – Former track Rookie of the Year Chris Coolidge of Norway, Maine, plains to make his PASS North Series debut when the 2013 season opens with the Ripley & Fletcher Ford 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Sunday, April 21. Coolidge capped last season with a win in the final Late Model event in track history, and he begins his campaign in the new Pro Late Model division with the PASS North Series race scheduled for this weekend. Coolidge knows his way around Oxford Plains, as evidenced by his win in the season finale last September as well has his 2011 Rookie of the Year award. The Coolidge Motorsports No. 72 Bill’s Automotive/Lloyd’s Land Chevrolet by Crazy Horse Racing tested at the track last weekend in preparation for the season opener.

Keith Rocco Takes Win In Waterford Opener
New Crazy Horse Chassis Leads All 50 Laps En Route To Victory
WATERFORD, Conn. – It wasn’t a bad debut for Keith Rocco’s brand new Crazy Horse Racing chassis.
Rocco led every lap to thoroughly dominate en route to victory in the 50-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model feature event as part of the season-opening Budweiser Blastoff at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, Conn., on Sunday, April 7.
It was Rocco’s fifth career Late Model victory for car owner Scott Fearn as the two begin pursuit of their first championship in the division.
“This Crazy Horse chassis is unbelievable,” Rocco, of Wallingford, Conn., told RaceDayCT.com following the win. “The track definitely freed up from (Saturday), and as free as the track was, this thing still drove hard off the corner and had an awesome nose on it. (more…)

It’s become one of the most highly-anticipated and much-loved annual traditions for race fans all over New England.
When the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Models roll into Red and Judy MacDonald’s pristine Lee USA Speedway for the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 on Sunday, April 14, it marks the beginning of another exciting new season for folks on both sides of the fences.
Since 2003, the region’s top Late Model stars have converged on this wide, smooth oval to do battle. In the decade since, fans have witnessed some incredible racing during the ACT opener at Lee. With its dramatic finishes and frequent three-wide racing, this show has a well-earned reputation for thrills and excitement.

Prestigious ACT event and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series kick off schedule
WEST HAVEN, VT – Spring in Vermont is a beautiful time of year. New flowers bloom in the meadows, birds chirp away, and the aroma of fresh-cut grass hangs in the breeze. All of that will go unnoticed on Sunday, May 5, though, as the brightly-colored, loud-as-thunder, rubber-burning machines of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series and the American-Canadian Tour charge into Devil’s Bowl Speedway for the 39th annual “Spring Green” stock car spectacular.
Nearly 80 drivers and race teams from around the northeast and Canada are expected to pack the pit area of the Rutland County speed plant as the season opens with the historic Spring Green event. With as many as 40 roaring Late Model cars expected to attempt qualifying for the 113-lap main event – one of the American-Canadian Tour’s oldest and most prestigious races – the season definitely comes in like a lion at Devil’s Bowl.
