Dillon Motor Speedway Race Preview
THE STORY
FORT KENT, Maine – Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, makes his 2013 PASS South Series debut in the South Carolina Clash 150 at Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon, S.C., on Saturday, March 9. The driver of the Brad Keselowski Racing No. 29 Checkered Flag Foundation Ford Fusion won in his last start in a PASS-sanctioned Super Late Model race last October, when Theriault won the PASS North Series season finale at Oxford (Maine) Plains Speedway. Theriault, the BKR development driver in his second full season with the organization owned by 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski, led several laps in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Speedfest 200 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Ga., in January before he was wrecked out of the Top-5 by another competitor in the late stages of the event. “Fireball” Roberts Tops Devil’s Bowl Speedway Rookies
Bryant, Cummings, Masterson also take freshman honors
WEST HAVEN, VT – The future of Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s stock car racing protégés is proving to be rather bright. A talented crop of rookie drivers joined the track’s weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions in 2012 and left a significant mark on the record books.
Joey “Fireball” Roberts of Georgia, VT ran to the Rookie of the Year title in Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s headline Bond Auto Parts Modified class. After a decade in full-fender racecars, the third-generation racer made his open-wheel Modified debut at the 101.5 “The Fox” Spring Green on May 5 in the No. 50x Vermont Life Safety/Mansfield Heliflight-sponsored Bicknell. Roberts won his qualifying heat and finished fifth in the main event, the first of an overachieving 11 top-five finishes in 19 feature starts. Roberts took his first feature win on August 3 and finished fifth in overall championship standings.

NEW ENGLAND MOTORSPORTS SOUTH

Ten winners in 14 events made 2012 the most competitive season yet for the five-year- old Northeastern Midget Association’s Lites Division.
A pair of 16-year olds, Carl Medeiros Jr. and Avery Stoehr, with four and two respectively, were the only double winners. Medeiros set a new standard with three straight victories including two in one day at Lee USA Speedway on June 13. His fourth win came at Beech Ridge in September.
Third-generation driver Stoehr (following grandfather Paul and father Russ) won at Waterford Speedbowl and at Lee USA’s Ocktoberfest.

Five-time champion takes the pole for Sunday’s SYLVANIA 300
LOUDON, N.H. (Sept. 21, 2012) – Looks like Jeff Gordon has put Chicagoland firmly in the rearview mirror.
Less than a week after a 35th-place finish appeared to abandon any momentum Gordon established at the end of the regular season, the five-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion has officially inserted himself back into the Chase for the championship mix.

Hudson NH – Geoff Rollins padded his points lead with a win in the Outlaw Sportsman division at Hudson International Speedway on Sunday afternoon September 16th. Kevin Aberle led the first few laps until Rollins made his way up from his fifth starting spot to take the lead. Rollins had to contend with a very fast Jay Maki in the mid-point of the race but Maki faded and Rollins cruised to victory after that. Following Rollins were Kevin Kephart, Todd Warren, Dave Blanchard and Matt Bosowski.
Nick Dombroski won the B and L Used Auto Parts Thunder Lights. Dombroski started 3rd on the grid and was in first place before lap one was completed. Dombroski was chased the entire caution-free race by Andrew Morin but Morin wasn’t able to mount a challenge and had to settle for second. Kris Schroeder was third followed by Max Chaput and Jarrett Howard.
