PARTS FOR TRUCKS PRO STOCK TOUR 15th ANNIVERSARY SCHEDULE RELEASE

pro stock tour(Halifax, NS – January 19, 2015) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is pleased to announce their 2015 racing schedule. The region’s premier stock car racing series will make stops in five major markets in all three Maritime Provinces during the 15th Anniversary Season.

The season kicks off at Scotia Speedworld, with a 100-lap event on Saturday, May 23rd. The series will make three additional stops at Scotia Speedworld, including a 150-lap feature on Saturday, June 20th, the prestigious 16th Annual Atlantic Cat 250 on Saturday, August 8th and the series 200-lap season finale on Saturday, September 19th.

Wendell Scott: Legend, Trailblazer … and NASCAR Hall of Famer

kjasfasfaDAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 19, 2015) – During a 13-year premier series career, Wendell Scott likely never considered he was making NASCAR history. The Virginian’s sole concern was getting to the next race on a miniscule budget.

Scott wasn’t the only driver to struggle financially. The odds of making a good living racing stock cars were long in the 1960s and early 1970s when purses were small, large sponsors unheard of and manufacturer support came and went with the turning of the calendar’s pages.

DK-LOK Ford Solid at First Daytona Test

clip_image002After weeks of preparation Thomas “Moose” Praytor wheeled his DK-LOK Ford Fusion on to the high banks of Daytona International Speedway testing for the ARCA Lucas Oil 200.

“The Daytona test was a big day for our DK-LOK team, a rebuilt car, new motor and lots of questions. With all the anticipation we were ready to go at 7:00 AM but Mother Nature had other plans,” said Praytor.

Thunderbowl, Bakersfield, Kings set dates for Western IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series

tyjghjghTULARE, Calif. (Jan. 17) – After getting a couple exhibition nights in last season, the first annual Western IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Series debuts in 2015 with 17 events at three California speedplants.
Opening night is scheduled for March 14 at Thunderbowl Raceway; both Tulare and Kings Speedway Hanford host seven races, with three more at Bakersfield Speedway.

PASS Returning To Ace Speedway In 2015 For Labor Day Classic

IMG_0454 (1280x854)CHARLOTTE, NC (January 16) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials, along with representatives of Short Track Management, are pleased to announce the return of the PASS South Super Late Model and PASS Pro Late Model divisions to Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, NC in 2015. The 4th Running of the Labor Day Classic at Ace Speedway will take place on Labor Day afternoon, Monday, September 7, 2015. In addition to PASS, the Madhouse Modifieds, which are featured at the legendary Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC, will compete in Twin 25 lap features under Stadium rules and on Stadium tires. The USAC Eastern Midgets will complete the entertaining Labor Day afternoon festivities of racing at Ace Speedway.

Former Wild Thing Kart Champion Kyle Startz Joins 2015 SK Light R.A.D. Automachine / T/A Engines Rookie Class at Stafford Speedway

vchfghfghfg(Stafford Springs, CT)—As time continues to count down to the first green flag of the 2015 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season at Stafford Motor Speedway, the track’s SK Light rookie class continues to grow. Oakdale native Kyle Startz is the latest rookie to join the class of drivers who will be chasing a record $1,000 bonus from R.A.D. Automachine and T/A Engines. Startz is also the latest driver to move from the Wild Thing Kart ranks into one of Stafford’s five weekly divisions. There are currently over 20 drivers who raced on Monday nights at Stafford in the Wild Thing Karts on the 2015 driver roster and Startz was the 2008 Champ Kart Champion in the Wild Thing Karts. Startz also won the 2009 New England Champ Kart Series championship and he has won Rookie of the Year honors across all his divisions of go kart racing. After taking some time off from racing, Startz is ready to embark on a new challenge in his racing career.

Dunleavy will post a 1st place bonus of $150 for each SK Modified® feature winner as well as a $125 bonus for each SK Light feature winner during the 2015 season.
