BANGOR, Maine (Jan. 15, 2015) – Veteran snowmobile racers Mathieu Morin and Danny Poirier earned final round victories last weekend, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) opened its 2015 season with the inaugural Paul Bunyan International at historic Bass Park in Bangor, Maine.
Morin, of Val-d’Or, QC, snuck past his Ingles Performance/Ski-doo teammate Poirier on the final lap Sunday to notch his first win since 2011. Poirier powered to victory
in Saturday’s grueling 13-lap final with a wire-to-wire dominant performance.

Waterbury, VT – Robert Hart, Promoter and Owner of the New Smyrna Speedway (NSS) and Tom Curley, President of the American Canadian Tour (ACT) made a surprise announcement today by scheduling a third event for the ACT Late Model teams. The popular New England and Quebec based touring group have added a Sunday night, February 15, 2015 date to their trip to the Florida track. The American Racer Challenge Cup will take place on Monday and Tuesday, February 16-17, 2015.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 16, 2015) – Fred Lorenzen’s NASCAR career was brief, just 158 premier series starts over slightly more than a decade.
The Elmhurst, Illinois, native never ran a complete season, his Holman-Moody Ford team choosing only to compete in the schedule’s most prestigious events.
But when Lorenzen did buckle into his white, No. 28 Ford, it could be argued the rest of the field was running for second place. He was the “Golden Boy.”
