Waterbury, VT– The rained out American Canadian Tour 150 at Groveton, NH’s Riverside Speedway scheduled for last Sunday, June 2 has been rescheduled to Sunday, June 23 with a post time of 1:30pm.
The 150-lap event was postponed due to rain with 29 laps of the feature complete last Sunday. Steuben, ME’s Rowland Robinson was in first place when the race paused after leading the first 29 laps of his ACT career. He will try to earn his first ACT win when the race resumes on Sunday, June 23.

June 6, 2013 – CFS is pleased to announce improved access for fans of all ages via its new “Drive-In” zone for Fans. This area is designed for elderly and physically challenged fans who otherwise would have difficulty in attending the races. In the Drive-In Zone fans with disabilities and those over 65 can drive their car, half ton, or van up to the fencing and, without having to leave the comfort of their own vehicle, watch the races. In addition, fans can tune into the CENTREs announcers on their own FM radio via the speedways new FM Radio Station Transmitter so no matter how loud the motor sport, the fans can hear the announcers commentary! To access the Drive-In Zone, fans must enter thru the Pit Pass entrance. A pit pass and proof of age or physical ailment is required. A season pass for the Drive-In Zone is available, at a reduced cost, for those who are eligible. Spaces are limited and on a first come basis. Amsoil NELCAR Legends Tour: John Peters
Oxford Plains Speedway Race Report
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – John Peters of Westbrook, Maine, finished sixth in the Amsoil NELCAR Legends Tour 25-lap event at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Saturday, June 1. Peters started 11th in the field and worked his way up to the Top-5 in quick fashion on a track notoriously tough to pass. Peters had raced all the way to the third position in the closing laps when the two leaders tangled in front of him, momentarily giving him the lead. He was shuffled back on the final restart and settled for the Top-10 finish – his fourth in as many starts to begin his rookie season on the Tour. Peters and the rest of the Amsoil NELCAR Legends Tour heads to Star Speedway for the first time in 2013 on Saturday, June 8.

People’s United Bank 100 on tap Friday

Driver keeps win, docked points and purse after infraction
WEST HAVEN, VT – Devil’s Bowl Speedway has announced that Late Model stock car driver Hunter Bates has been penalized following his NASCAR Whelen All-American Series victory on Friday, May 31 for a technical violation.
The front tread width on Bates’ No. 9NY Chevrolet was found to exceed the maximum allowable tolerance in post-race inspection, due to the offset of the wheels on the car.

NASCAR Whelen All-American Series: Bradley Babb
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Report
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bradley Babb of Windham, Maine, finished second in the season-opening NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 1. Babb, the reigning NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track champion at the track, started 4th in the 24-car field after missing most of the day’s practice while trying to resolve a mechanical issue with the No. 4 Babb Wood Contractors/McGoldrick Bros. Blasting Chevrolet. He never ran outside the Top-5 in the main event, emerging from some spirited racing with the runner-up finish. Babb joins the rest of the field when they return next weekend, June 8, for the second race of the season.

NASCAR Whelen All-American Series: Bobby Timmons
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Report
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bobby Timmons III of Windham, Maine, finished fifth in the season-opening NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Pro Series 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, June 1. Timmons recovered from misfortune in his qualifying race and a mid-pack starting spot to roll to the Top-5 in the Mulkern Racing No. 48 Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep/Timmons Machine Dodge. Timmons was one of many drivers to come out of the feature event showing signs of a rough night behind the wheel, but he was encouraged by a strong start to the season. He’ll return to action next Saturday night, June 8, for Round No. 2 of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at the .333-mile oval.
