Ted Christopher, Tommy O’Sullivan, and Jay Sundeen dominated their divisions in Thompson International Speedway’s Thursday Night Thunder by leading every lap of their features to claim the first TNTT victory of the season. Ed Puleo and Jim Helger were also feature winners.
Ted Christopher held off a hard-charging Keith Rocco in the 30-lap SK Modified feature. John Catania and Shawn Thibeault brought the field back to green after an accident that collected Woody Pitkat and Andrew Charron stopped the action before the first lap was complete. Thibeault claimed the lead on the outside on the restart after running-side-by-side almost the entire first circuit, but it was Ted Christopher who officially led the lap after a turn four bid. Hattori Racing Enterprises raced solid at the historic Bowman Gray Stadium in the K&N Pro Series East NASCAR Hall of Fame 150 on Saturday, June 2, 2012 but a last lap spin relegated their finishes to 9th and 19th.
“We had a hard time getting forward bite during practice,”Grimes, IA native, Brett Moffitt explained. “The track was real slick and there was no grip. We made a lot of changes but finally felt like we had a good balance at the end of practice.”

At a racetrack where a casino is an integral part of the complex, Todd Bodine gambled and won big.
Despite spinning early in Friday’s rain-shortened Lucas Oil 200, Bodine remained on the lead leap, and with a contrarian pit strategy, he worked his way into the lead. When rain forced NASCAR to call the race after 147 laps, Bodine was the winner, breaking a drought of 37 races dating to 2010.
The two-time series champion won for the 22nd time in his career after fending off an assault from Parker Kligerman, the race runner-up. Pole-sitter Kevin Harvick, who dominated the first half of the race, was third when NASCAR called the event after a second stoppage for rain. (more…)
Bear Ridge Speedway’s Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank event has been canceled due to rain on Saturday, June 2. The event was scheduled to host the USAC Dirt Midget Association and Granite State Mini Sprints along with a full card for the 99ROCK Weekly Racing Series Bond Auto Parts DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes, A Notch Above Automotive Limited Late Models, Weglarz Property Service Fast Fours, KDD NAPA Auto Parts Hornets, and the Hornet Stinger youth division. With the rain coming down and a flood watch in effect, White Mountain Motorsports Park has been forced to cancel racing for this Saturday, June, 2, 2012.
Racing will resume next Saturday evening at 5pm with all five racing divisions seeing action. In addition we will welcome the Antique Racers for their only visit of the 2012 season. The nostalgia and memories of racing in times gone by is something not to be missed.
Racing begins at 5pm, with the gates opening at 1pm and practice starting at 3pm. Admission is $10 for adults and $2 for children under 10. (more…)

THE STORY
Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, will try and bounce back from a long day last time out when the PASS North Series holds the PASS 150 at Riverside Speedway in Groveton, N.H., on Sunday, June 3. Sommerville finished 12th at White Mountain Motorsports Park last weekend, plagued by both tire pressure and carburetor issues during the feature event, and the Mulkern Racing No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders Chevrolet will try and rebound this Sunday at Riverside. Sommerville has never competed at Riverside Speedway, which was off the PASS schedule in 2011. Despite the bad luck of the last two weeks, Sommerville still sits third in the PASS North standings, just 13 points out of the lead. (more…)
The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) takes its racing road show to northern New Hampshire on Sunday June 3 when all three PASS North touring series tackle the tough quarter mile known as Riverside Speedway.
The Groveton speed plant will host the touring pros after a one year hiatus and fans of the Super Late Model, Mod and Sportsman series are anxiously anticipating their return to the Connecticut river valley oval. (more…)
Bushey tops Late Models, Renegade leaders deadlocked
Defending NASCAR Whelen All-American Series stock car racing champion Ron Proctor finds himself atop the Devil’s Bowl Speedway point standings for the first time in 2012 entering Friday’s Carrara Masonry & Concrete Night presented by Mobil 1. The Charlton, NY veteran used a stellar double-feature performance to vault ahead of Jessey Mueller at last week’s People’s United Bank Memorial Day Special.
Proctor’s victory and runner-up finishes in twin 20-lap races came at the right time, as previous leaders Jessey Mueller and Vince Quenneville, Jr., suffered their worst showings of the season in the crash-marred second feature. Proctor now leads Brandon, VT driver Quenneville by 26 points (253-227), while Mueller is part of a three-way tie for third with Alex Bell and rookie Joey Roberts, each with 222 points through the first five feature events.
