Barre, VT – Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT will wrap up its point battles and crown its final three 2011 champions during the People’s United Bank Milk Bowl on Sunday, October 2. Champions for the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen, Allen Lumber Street Stock and the Junkyard Warrior divisions will be crowned following the season finale this weekend.

Oxford Plains Speedway announced today that the 39th annual TD Bank 250 will be held on July 22, 2012. As has been the case since 2004, the event is scheduled for an off weekend on the Sprint Cup schedule, falling in 2012 between the races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

THOMPSON, CT. For the third consecutive week, rain has forced the postponement of Thompson Speedway’s Thursday Night Thunder race program. The track will attempt to run the final track points race of the year next Thursday, October 6th.
The amazing string of rainy Thursdays has frustrated racers, fans and track management. However, Thompson Owner and Promoter, Don Hoenig, today expressed his thanks to loyal fans and competitors for their understanding and said that he hopes that we all will get a break in a weather pattern that has targeted Thursdays in New England.

set to compete in ‘2011 Atlantic Stock Car Championships’ weekend at Centre for Speed
September 29, 2010 – Shediac (N.B.) – Drivers from throughout the Atlantic region will converge on the Centre for Speed (CFS), Atlantic Canada’s Super Speedway and Metro Moncton’s ‘Playground of Power’, for this weekend’s 12th Annual Atlantic Stock Car Championships, which will feature drivers in four divisions, Sportsman, Mini Stock, Four Fun and for the first time at CFS, Bandoleros. This Saturday’s event is weekend two of three of the CFS Atlantic SpeedWeeks, the final events of the 2011 stock car racing season in Atlantic Canada.

KANNAPOLIS, N.C., (Sept. 28, 2011) – Back in the day, Tony Stewart gave George Thorogood a run for his money as the real Delaware Destroyer.
Wilmington, Del., native Thorogood, and his band, the Delaware Destroyers, pumped out such hits as “Bad to the Bone” and a resounding cover of Bo Diddley’s “Who Do You Love” en route to 16 studio albums, two of which went Platinum while six more went Gold.

In 2010 Ryan Truex, a native of Mayetta, N.J., won his second consecutive NASCAR K&N Pro Series East title and was officially awarded the crown at Dover International Speedway, his home track.
Truex, 19, brother of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Martin Truex Jr., began the 2011 season driving for Pastrana-Waltrip Racing, the team with which he won his K&N championships (then Michael Waltrip Racing). However after 10 races, that opportunity shifted, gearing more toward the preparation for team co-owner and action sports superstar Travis Pastrana to make his way into NASCAR.

Driver Reggie Ruggiero and car owner Mario Fiore, at one time a powerful force on the Modified scene, head up the New England Auto Racing Hall of Fame class of 2012. Driver Joey Kourafas, car owner/mechanic Jim Jorgensen and track owners Irene Venditti and Donald Hoenig are also members of the class.
