Dunbar/Autism Awareness Racing Team Look for strong finish in Season’s Finale

The DT Promotions Racing Team, with driver Travis Dunbar, Lisbon, ME, is headed to the “SAVE WISCASSET FUN RACE” in Wiscasset, ME for the final pro stock race for Dunbar which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15th.

49th Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl Postponed

Barre, VT – The 49th Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl at Thunder Road International Speedbowl scheduled for Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2 has been postponed due to rain. Due to more rain in the forecast for tomorrow, the event has been rescheduled for a one day event next Sunday, October 9.
The event was originally scheduled with Booth Bros./H.P. Hood qualifying on Saturday, October 1 and the 49th running of the Milk Bowl on Sunday, October 2. The schedule has been revised to include both qualifying and the Milk Bowl on Sunday, October 9.

The management of Kraze Korlacki Speed Equipment & Seekonk Speedway, announce the re-scheduling of the Racing Against Cancer 100 from Saturday to Sunday at 2pm. This change is made based on a review of all available weather data, and in full consideration and concern for our race fans and competitors. We ask that all who receive this to please share with all your friends by e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, etc. The track walk will proceed as scheduled unless changed by Racing Against Cancer; please check their web-site. The schedule for Sunday is the pits open at 9am; front gate at 11:30, practice at 12 noon, and the race program begins at 2pm. PASS NORTH @ OXFORD PLAINS SPEEDWAY POSTPONE

Due to the predicted inclement weather, the Oxford Plains Speedway PASS race has been postponed from Saturday October 1st to Sunday, Oct. 2nd.The same event schedule will be followed with racing starting at 1:00 PM.

POST SEASON MEANS WORLD SERIES
THOMPSON, CT. Baseball and auto racing at Thompson International Speedway have one big thing in common. Both present an amazing post season event known as the World Series. In the case of the Thompson Speedway, it’s the 38th annual Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing presented by Town Fair Tire and XTRA/MART on the weekend of October 14th-16th.
Racing’s World Series at Thompson is a massive three-day racing spectacle that features 15 different divisions of race cars and trucks. Topping the bill will be the Super Modifieds of ISMA, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, NEMA Midgets, Thompson’s ‘Super 6” NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions and many more.

Airborne season finale: 40th ACT Fall Foliage 200

SOUTH PLATTSBURGH – Airborne Speedway concludes its 58th stock car racing season Saturday, October 8 by hosting one of the American Canadian Tour’s premier events – the 40th Rent-A-Wreck Fall Foliage 200.
A large turnout of Late Model teams from both sides of the border are expected to compete for the $34,450 purse, including 2011 ACT champion Brian Hoar of Williston, VT, 2011 Séries Castrol champion Patrick Laperle of St. Denis, QC, Brent Dragon and Jean-Paul Cyr of Milton, VT – both past Fall Foliage winners and Airborne champions – and Mark Lamberton of Mooers Forks, NY.

RICK CHARETTE RETURNING TO LATE MODEL DIVISION AT STAFFORD FOR CARQUEST FALL FINAL WEEKEND
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Rick Charette will return to Stafford behind the
wheel of a Late Model for this weekend’s CARQUEST Fall Final. Charette will
be behind the wheel of the #27 car owned by Jim “Smokey” Brice, which is the
same car that Keith Rocco has driven to 3 Late Model victories this season.
Brice purchased the car from Daren Clark and Charette and Brice will use
this weekend’s CARQUEST Fall Final as a shake-down session in preparation
for a full schedule of Late Model racing at Stafford for the 2012 season.
