Season finale at Pico to conclude inaugural season for East Coast Snocross series,

CHESHIRE, Conn. (March 25, 2011) – After months of training, eight weekends of racing and hundreds of miles on the highway, it all boils down to one last shootout.
Points contenders are hoping to seal the deal while others hope to salvage their seasons with a podium finish, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) gets set for its 2011 season finale on Saturday and Sunday, April 2-3, at the beautiful and historic Pico Mountain ski area in Killington, Vermont.

KYLE BUSCH – ‘White-Hot’ and Heading West
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Following his weekend sweep of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series races at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, there’s no driver more “white-hot” than Kyle Busch.
As the Sprint Cup Series heads back to the West Coast for round five of the season, Busch, driver of the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR), looks to keep his hot streak going in Sunday’s Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif.

KURT BUSCH LOOKING FOR CONSISTENT STRENGTH IN “CORE” RACES
-No. 22 Auto Club Dodge Driver Knows Importance Of Performing Well On “Intermediate” Tracks-
FONTANA, Calif. – Kurt Busch and his Steve Addington-led Penske Racing “Double Deuce” Dodge team enter this weekend’s Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway in sole possession of the NASCAR Sprint Cup points lead. Busch is the only driver to record top-10 finishes in all four races completed this season, but he’s quick to point out that there is no room for complacency in this sport.

ACT LEE USA OPENER TO SHOWCASE NEW TEAMS IN 2011
Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) will open the 2011 season at the Lee USA Speedway on Sunday, April 17, 2011 with many new faces in the pits.
Two veteran Oxford Plains Speedway competitors plan to start their 2011 ACT seasons at Lee. Shane Green, South Paris, ME will drive the Geoffrey Low entry, and Dennis Spencer from Oxford, ME both have a lot of experience with ACT racing. Oxford Plains has presented 22 ACT Late Model races, plus four non-point TD Bank Oxford 250s. Both drivers have participated in most of those events and Spencer participated in the second annual ACT Invitational at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) last September. (more…)

DIRT LATE MODELS RETURN TO CANAAN DIRT SPEEDWAY
Canaan Dirt Speedway general manager, Dick Therrien has come to an agreement with local dirt Late Model teams to add them to the schedule on a limited basis in 2011. The Late Models ran at Canaan a few seasons ago before their numbers dwindled, and the demise of the group came about.

CHESHIRE, Conn. (Mar. 18, 2011) – After a pair of off-weekends that saw some teams venture west to compete in national events, the time has come to get back at it here in the east.
With just two points races remaining, those in the hunt for class titles will be highly focused as East Coast Snocross (ECS) gets set for Round 8 on the 2011 schedule on Saturday and Sunday, March 26-27, at the beautiful Peek‘n Peak Resort & Spa in Findley Lake, New York.
Spectator gates open at 10 a.m. each day, with racing getting under way promptly at 10:30 a.m. Admission is just $12 per day for adults, children age 10 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes (valid through the weekend) will be available for an extra $10. (more…)

FIRST OF TWO OPEN PRACTICE SESSIONS THIS WEEKEND AT THOMPSON
THOMPSON, CT. Race cars of all shapes and sizes will be headed to the Thompson International Speedway this Saturday for the first of two scheduled open practice sessions. The race track will be open from 11 AM until 6 PM for any safe race car wishing to take advantage of some pre-season, on-track time. The second such session will be held next Saturday, April 2nd, at the same times. In the event of rain, these open practice sessions will be held the following day (Sunday) beginning at 12 Noon. These dates are set aside each year to give competitors an opportunity to test and fine tune their race cars for the new season that begins with the Icebreaker on the weekend of April 9th & 10th.
