East Coast Snocross announces Choko Design Sport Cup award for 2010-2011

CHESHIRE, Conn. (Nov. 29, 2010) – Each winter, those who follow the sport of snocross keep their eyes fixed on experienced, seasoned veterans as they strive to earn the coveted Pro class championships.

Yet beginning with the season-opening event on Dec. 11-12 at the Burke Mountain Ski Resort in East Burke, Vermont, those same fans will have good reason to follow an often-unwatched division of racers all season long.

AMERICAN CANADIAN TOUR TO FLORIDA OVER SPEEDWEEKS

Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today that an agreement has been reached with New Smyrna Speedway (NSS) to bring the ACT Late Model teams from the Northeastern US and Canada to the historic ‘World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing’ at New Smyrna, Florida during the Daytona Speedweeks.

There will be two 100-lap events for ACT teams with back-to-back races on Sunday, February 13 and Monday, February 14, 2011.

Sterling Marlin leads latest batch of early entries for THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro

NAPLES ME ( 11/24) Two time Daytona 500 winner Sterling Marlin has filed his early entry for THE RACE at North Wilkesboro. Slated for April 9, 2011, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) sanctioned race at North Wilkesboro Speedway will pay a minimum of $75,000.00 to the winner.

Marlin has ten Sprint Cup and 2 Nationwide Series wins under his belt but early in his career he captured three consecutive championships at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, a storied short track that has produced so many racing talents. He has plenty of experience at North Wilkesboro too, with a number of top ten results during his cup career. (more…)

NEW ENGLAND TRUCK SERIES 2010 CHAMPION ANDY LINDEMAN, CROWNED ALONG WITH MONADNOCK NASCAR CHAMPIONS

The New England Truck Series joined in with Monadnock Speedway Competitors, Car Owners, and Race Teams on Saturday, November 20th, at the Log Cabin located in Holyoke, Ma to celebrate the 2010 race season and officially crown the champions with 400 people in attendance to reflect on the season. Michelle Cloutier, the speedway’s General Manager, welcomed the race teams and thanked all of them for their dedication and support throughout the 2010 season even in these tough economic times.

She also addressed the teams on how they all work together to make the speedway one of the best and most competitive short track in the East.

Oxford Plains Speedway 2011 Schedule

OXFORD, Maine – Oxford Plains Speedway has unveiled its 2011 schedule highlighted by the TD Bank 250 on July 24, 2011. The schedule features 29 racing events between May and October.

“We are looking forward to a great 2011 at Oxford. Our season is highlighted not only with the TD Bank 250, but with two appearances by the American Canadian Tour, an appearance by the Modified Racing Series and two visits by the Pro All Star Series Super Late Models,” Speedway Owner Bill Ryan commented.
