Ryan Blaney Dominates for First Career PASS South Win
Naples, ME 3/15/10- Fans who have followed the PASS South series for the last year and a half have all wondered and even asked him to his face, “Ryan when are you going to win your first race?” That question along with a statement on who might be the guy to beat for the 2010 PASS South series championship was answered in front of a stellar crowd at the Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon, South Carolina as fifteen-year-old Ryan Blaney stole the show and earned the win, dominating the South Carolina Clash 150.

The season-opening Icebreaker, April 10th and 11th, at the Thompson International Speedway kicks off the racing season and the drive for a coveted division championship at the historic speedway. In all, six NASCAR Whelen All-American Series division titles are up for grabs for Thompson’s weekly racers. The historic speedway is also the location where many other championships like the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, NEMA Midgets, ISMA Super Modifieds and others are traditionally decided at the end of the racing season.

HUDSON, N.H. — The old adage tells us that consistency wins championships, and Joey Polewarczyk Jr. hopes he can prove it true once again in 2010.
The 20-year-old stock car driver will have plenty of chances to find consistency on the track, committing to run the full ACT Late Model Tour season this year as well as a partial NASCAR K&N Pro Series East schedule. Polewarczyk, who owns four career ACT wins and finished a career-best fourth in the final 2009 standings, is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel.
“It’s going to be a busy summer, for sure,” Polewarczyk said. “I’m excited about it. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Polewarczyk started making waves for himself last June when he beat two-time Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart — plus a full field of Late Models — in the Vermont Governor’s Cup at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt. But as good a season as Polewarczyk had, it was his offseason that’s been even more productive.

Greenville Season Opener Just Weeks Away
Mayfield, N.Y. (March 10, 2010): The 2010 K&N Pro Series East season doesn’t take the green flag until Saturday, March 27th, but for Dustin Delaney, driver of the No. 39 Delaney Infrastructure Chevrolet, the season will kick off this Sunday when he heads south to kick off his pre-season testing.
Delaney and his team, led by crew chief Jamie Aube, will test at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in South Carolina on March 17th and follow it up with a test at South Boston Speedway in Virginia on March 18th.

Chip Grenier Aims for Bond/WIX Tiger Tour Title
American Canadian Tour (ACT) standout Chip Grenier of Graniteville will run the four (4) event ACT Bond/WIX Tiger Sportsman Tour for car owner Greg “Burger” Blake in 2010.
Grenier, the 2007 Thunder Road Late Model Rookie of the Year, is no stranger to the ACT Limited Sportsman (Tiger) car. During his eight (8) years behind the wheel of a Bond Auto Tiger Sportsman at Thunder Road, Grenier earned eleven (11) career victories and became a fan favorite of the Barre high banks. After running two (2) years in Thunder Road Late Model competition, Grenier ran the full season on the 2009 ACT Tour, earning ninth place in the final point standings and the 2009 ACT Tour Sportsmanship Award.

March 9, 2010: Officials at Speedway 660 announced today that they will be starting a new division of Bandolero cars to compete at Speedway 660 in 2010. For the first time in the history of the Speedway racers as young as 8 years old will have an opportunity to race on the oval as part of the Saturday night racing events.
The Bandolero car is built like a miniature stock car. It’s a turnkey spec series race car designed for drivers 8 to 15 years old. Safety is the number one concern starting with a shock absorbing frame design all the way to the mandated HANS device. The cars are manufactured by US Legend Cars in Charlotte, North Carolina and are being raced all around North America.

RMR snocross circuit available for purchase at conclusion of 2009-10 season
DERRY, N.H. (Mar. 9, 2010) – After a successful eight-year run that saw regional snowmobile racing attain new heights, officials at Rock Maple Racing (RMR) have announced a decision to sell the circuit at the end of this season.
RMR was founded by Don and Nancy Finck in the early 1990s. In May of 2002, New Hampshire businessmen Chuck and Mark Minasalli purchased RMR and their passion for snocross was soon clear. Through hard work and a significant investment, the Minasalli brothers lifted Rock Maple into the 21st century.

THOMPSON PREPARES FOR OPENING OF 70TH YEAR
THOMPSON, CT. Thompson International Speedway will mark the opening of its 70th anniversary year with the running of the traditional Icebreaker on the weekend of April 10th and 11th. The famed, high-banked oval will usher in the 2010 racing season with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and Thompson’s own “Super 6” NASCAR Whelen All-American series divisions.
Just prior to the actual running of the Icebreaker, the speedway will be open for two full days of open practice. The first of these days is scheduled for Saturday, March 27th with the second the following Saturday, April 3rd.

25th ACT SEASON SEES NEAR RECORD FULL SEASON ENTRY LIST
Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) will celebrate 25 years of Championship Stock Car Racing with one of its largest number of pre-season full season entered teams. The balance of veteran champions and new teams joining the US touring division represents five New England states and two provinces of Canada. ACT statistician Nick Bigelow said, “I have reviewed past seasons and this looks like the most diverse and best count ACT has had in the past half dozen seasons.”
A fourteen race schedule will carry teams from the shores of Connecticut at the historic Waterford Speedbowl to new tracks located as far north as Quebec City, (the newly renovated 5/8th mile Riverside Speedway in Ste-Croix), and west to the newly paved 4/10th mile Albany Saratoga Speedway in Malta, NY, just outside the New York capital city.
