DUSTIN LANCASTER BESTS MODIFIED ENDURO FIELD AT 95

tyfgbvcbfDarren Durrell of Newburgh and Andrew Crosby of Hermon led the early laps of the 20 lap Modified Enduro feature at Speedway 95 Wednesday night, but once Dustin Lancaster of Milo came from his 8th place starting spot and took the lead from Crosby on lap 8, the others were left to fight for second on back. Lancaster held the lead to the finish, winning his second feature in as many weeks. Crosby held on to take the second spot with Hampden’s Danielle Beal making a late race charge to finish third, almost catching Crosby in the process. Durrell, the pole sitter in the event, fell to fourth at the finish with outside pole sitter Bob Seger Jr. of Frankfort coming in fifth. Crosby took the win in the qualifier held earlier in the evening.

Branden Dion to Make Stafford Speedway Modified Racing Series Debut

idgsdgd(Stafford Springs, CT)—Armed with a new Troyer car, Taunton, MA native Branden Dion is ready to make his first start in a Valenti Modified Racing Series car at Stafford Motor Speedway this Friday night. Dion has run the prior two races on the 2015 VMRS schedule at Seekonk and Lee and the former SK Light and current SK Modified® driver is looking forward to continuing his learning curve in the VMRS series at a track that he has a level of familiarity with behind the wheel of the #04 Triple D Racing / Doug King Builders machine.

Hard Work and Perseverance Pays Off for Glenn Bartkowski at Stafford Speedway

sdtdsgdx(Stafford Springs, CT)—For Manchester native Glenn Bartkowski, the world of weekly NASCAR short track racing has proven to be both a rewarding and trying experience. Bartkowski began his weekly racing career in Stafford’s DARE Stock division in 1997 and he ran in that division through the 2004 season before taking a season off and then moving up to the Limited Late Model division in 2006. Bartkowski raced either parts of a season with Norm Sears sharing his car or a full season and until last year, had only one win in the DARE Stock division to show for his efforts. Bartkowski won his first Limited Late Model feature on the final Friday night of the 2014 season and he backed that win up with his second win in last Friday night’s Limited Late Model feature.

Todd Patnode Looking for Repeat Performance in VMRS 80 at Stafford Speedway

sdtdfgfg(Stafford Springs, CT)—With the Valenti Modified Racing Series set to make its second of three 2015 appearances at Stafford Motor Speedway, one driver who is looking forward to the race is Richmond, NH native Todd Patnode. In what was his first VMRS start at Stafford back in May, Patnode started 13th and he methodically drove his way through the field to end up fifth at the end of the 80-lap feature in his #05 Allstate Asphalt machine. With such a great result on his Stafford debut, Patnode is excited about his chances for his second visit to Stafford and a repeat of his top-5 effort.

NAPA Auto Parts SK 5k to Pay Bonus Money to Heat Race Winners

sdfsgcgbdf(Stafford Springs, CT)—The NAPA Auto Parts SK 5k returns to the half-mile on Friday July 10th and the NAPA fan vote is in full swing with over 1,200 votes cast. Also returning to the second edition of the event will be bonus money for the top-3 finishers in the SK Modified® qualifying races. Drivers who finish in the top-3 of their heat race will be awarded an additional bonus of $250, $150, or $100 respectively. The added bonus for qualifying races is just another piece of the already huge jackpot of over $30,000 for the SK Modified® division.
