MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Dec. 5, 2014) – JR Motorsports announced today that Ben Rhodes, the reigning K&N Pro Series East champion, will drive 10 NASCAR XFINITY Series races in the No. 88 Chevrolet in 2015. The 17-year-old Rhodes joins an all-star lineup of drivers for the No. 88 team that includes Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick and Kasey Kahne in select races. Alpha Energy Solutions will sponsor the Rhodes-driven races.

16-year old Reid Lanpher of Manchester has wrapped up his 2014 racing season. The Maranacook High School Junior recently attended his first NASCAR Whelen All American Series banquet where he was honored as Rookie of The Year and for his 2nd place finish in points for the Pro-Division.

2015 NASCAR WHELEN MODIFIED TOUR
Lia To Drive No. 8 TCS Racing Chevrolet
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (December 5, 2014) – Donny Lia and Mark Sypher have joined forces to run the 2015 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) in the No. 8 Chevrolet.
Lia, the 2007 and 2009 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion, is looking forward to this new opportunity. In late October, it was announced that the two-time champion would be parting ways with Mystic Missile Racing, which he had raced for since 2007.
“I’m really excited about this new challenge,” said Lia. “I want to thank Mark for his interest in partnering with me and for the opportunity to drive his cars. We’re really creating a new team from the ground up and it’s exciting to have this fresh start.”

Airborne Park Speedway has taken another step toward the future, as Mike Bruno has joined the track’s business ownership group. Bruno served as the Competition Director at Airborne in 2014 and will expand on that role moving forward; he has partnered with Jamie Atkins and Steve Fuller to form the ownership group.
Effective immediately, Bruno will take over day-to-day business operations as the track’s General Manager, while Atkins will step back from the daily operations and take on a support role. Bruno co-owns and promotes Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Vermont with his wife, Alayne, and says that the two tracks will continue building on a partnership that began last season.

NAPLES, ME (December 1) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials announced today the release of the 2015 schedule for the PASS North Super Late Models. The Northeast’s top short trackers will once again compete at some of the top short tracks in New England and Quebec, highlighted by the 42nd Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway. PASS will further expand into Vermont and New York in 2015 staging events in conjunction with the American-Canadian Tour (ACT). The PASS North Super Late Models will compete on at least 9 different speedways in 4 states and the Canadian province of Quebec in 2015.
“We’re very happy with the slate of tracks that we have assembled for our racers to compete on next year,” said PASS President Tom Mayberry. “There has already been a lot of excitement surrounding our new partnership with ACT and our fans seem to be excited for what’s in store for 2015. Hillcross racing offers spectators a chance to witness riders in Pro, Trail, Ditch Banger and Junior classes as they launch up the slope. FAIRLEE, VT – Bear Ridge Speedway honored the champions from its 46th Season of dirt track stock car racing on Saturday, November 29. More than 320 drivers, crew members, sponsors, fans, and officials filled a sold-out banquet hall at the Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, VT for the gala, and more than $25,000 in prizes and point fund purses was awarded.
Chris Donnelly of Orford, NH headlined the guest list as the Bond Auto Parts DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Champion. Donnelly collected his eighth title spanning six different divisions of racing at Bear Ridge Speedway. Donnelly topped runner-up Jason Gray of East Thetford VT, by just 15 points, Kevin Chaffee of Fairlee VT followed by Derek Graham of Woodsville NH, and Gary Siemons of Orford NH rounded out the top five. TC Forward of Lyme NH won the Rookie of the Year title, winning one feature along the way and finishing sixth in points.
