NAPLES, ME (May 4) – When the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models hit the track this Saturday afternoon at New Hampshire’s Star Speedway, they will be racing for more than just a checkered flag.  The Support 50 Legs 150 will help raise awareness for a cause affecting far too many Americans.  Steve Chamberland’s 50 Legs organization is to help provide amputees with the necessary care and prosthetics, that they could not otherwise afford, and to help them live a happier and healthier life.

So far this season, there have been three different winners in the first three PASS North Super Late Model events.  PASS young gun Garrett Hall captured the checkered flag at Thompson Speedway and sits third in points.  Ben Rowe edged out DJ Shaw and Johnny Clark in an amazing three wide finish at Oxford Plains Speedway.  And, Shaw is coming off a win of his own at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway that saw him get the best of Joey Doiron on a late-race restart.

(Epping, NH) – Trying to become a contender in one series is hard but to become a force in two series is quite a feat indeed. Derek Griffith, the 2015 Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) Champion; currently sits near the top-10 in the very competitive Pro All Star Series (PASS) North Tour.

Griffith who enters this weekend coming off a disappointing finish at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway where an accident forced out the Hudson, NH native early in the event and forced the McKennedy Bros. Masonry/LCM Racing/Tyngsboro Motors race team to work long hours getting the No. 12 back to racing form.

Derek talks about the events at Beech Ridge, “We had a pretty fast piece, right off the trailer. We were able to grab a fourth place finish in the heat race and that translated to a tenth place starting spot in the feature. On lap five, one of the veterans of the tour decided to try a move on the front stretch that he didn’t have room for, he got me loose and it snapped us directly into the wall. It’s unfortunate but that’s racing.”

Pasteryak Claims Valenti Modified Racing Series Season Opener

Valenti Modified Racing SeriesPasteryak Claims Valenti Modified Racing Series Season Opener

If the opening event at the Monadnock Speedway on Saturday night, April 30, is any indication of how things will go this year, then this should be one of the best racing seasons to date.

Thirteen years ago Larry Cirillo, promoter of Monadnock, gave series founder Jack Bateman the opportunity to showcase the new Modified Racing Series. Bateman must have done something right because the MRS has opened all but two seasons at the high-banked 1/4-mile speedway.

In the end a packed grandstand witnessed some hard fought side-by-side bumper-to-bumper action with Chris Pasteryak of Jewett City, Ct. besting a stellar field to take down his first victory of the MRS 2016 season. It was his 11th win overall with the MRS putting him 4th on the all time win list.
