WINCHESTER, NH – Bill and Matt Kimball pulled off the rare feat of father-son feature wins on the same card of racing Saturday, June 29, at Monadnock Speedway; Bill, the father, earning his first Sportsman Modified win of the summer, while son Matt scored the second Young Guns victory of his freshman campaign.
Other winners on the night at the high-banked speedplant included third-generation hot shoe Eddie Brehio III, who won his first Super Stock feature of the season, and Mini Stock pilot Kimmy Rivet, who notched her third win of the summer.

Doyle Garners First Coupe Win; Duhaime Dominates for USAC Midget win
BRADFORD, VT – Stock car racing champion Chris Donnelly became the first repeat winner of the season in the Bond Auto Parts DIRTcar Sportsman Modified division in the 99ROCK Weekly Racing Series on Bond Auto Parts Night at Bear Ridge Speedway on Saturday. Donnelly slipped into the annual Modified “Madness” event win with a strong car and a little luck in the race’s three 40-lap segments.

Montmagny, QC – Donald Theetge of Boischatel, QC won a fierce battle with current Série ACT point leader Patrick Cliche to claim the victory in the Montmagny 250 at Autodrome Montmagny on Sunday, June 30. Theetge pocketed over $4,000 after stealing the win in the final ten laps.

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 30) – As temperatures across the South continue to hover around the 100 degree mark on the temperature gauge, the racers of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) are tackling the challenge head on. After being rained out recently on the originally scheduled Saturday night date at Southern National Motorsports Park in eastern North Carolina, both the PASS South Super Late Models and PASS Pro Late Models took to the track to race on an extremely hot and humid Sunday afternoon. On Wednesday night July 3rd, both divisions will take to the track once again under extreme heat, this time in the Upstate of South Carolina at the extremely tight and challenging 3/8 mile Anderson Motor Speedway as part of the 8th Annual Firecracker 150. And, much like the recent challenges posed at Southern National, Anderson will present its own unique set of obstacles to the Nation’s best short track racers.

WEST HAVEN, VT – Nick Sweet completed a memorable back-to-front drive to win the People’s United Bank 100 stock car race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Sunday, June 30. The event, which was previously postponed twice by rain, was the second round of the four-race Vermont State Late Model Championship Series and also included NASCAR Whelen All-American Series races won by Jessey Mueller and Mike Whalen, Jr.

(Halifax, NS, June 30, 2013) – Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) crossed the line first on Sunday at Petty Raceway to collect his first career Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour win in the Lucas Oil 150. Gosbee started his #91 Wendell Taylor’s Garage Chevrolet on the second row on the final restart with three laps to go and made the winning pass on the final lap, leading the last few feet and finishing ahead of Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB) by 0.144 seconds. Tucker, who led 57 laps in the Lucas Oil 150, had to settle for second ahead of Charlottetown, PE’s Darren MacKinnon. Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) came home in the fourth place spot while Jerome Kehoe (Sydney, NS) rallied from an early caution to finish fifth.

June 30, 2013- Clifford and Chuck Mercer took the checkered flag in Speedway 660’s first Enduro 200 of the racing season. But it wasn’t easy for the boys from Norton. After building a huge lead after 150 laps, Chuck Mercer who drove the first and third segments of the race, got rear-ended and spent several laps in the pits. That allowed Brody Seveck to close within six laps of the leader. But somehow Team Mercer got their machine back on the track and held on for the win.

John Paiva picks up Phil’s Propane Triple Crown round two. Ryan Vanasse, Bobby Pelland III and Bob Bettencourt Jr win on RI Shriners night.
Ryan Vanasse picked up his first win of the 2013 season, shaking off a rough start. Kevin Folan brought the field down to the green, but the A&A Auto Parts Chevy quickly jumped out front and showed that he had the car to beat. Folan hung onto second until Ken Spencer moved past, and fell to fourth as Fred Astle got by. Astle worked his way quickly by Spencer and tried to hunt down Vanasse. Bobby Pelland III was fifth at the halfway point.

Scarborough, ME – Saturday’s NASCAR Nite Pro Series 100-lap feature event was won by D.J. Shaw, of Center Conway, NH.
Veteran racer Kelly Moore, of Scarborough, led the field to the green flag, but was overtaken by 21-year old Dave Farrington of Jay, the following lap. Farrington led until the first caution flew on lap 26 and regrouped the field back together. On the restart, Farrington and Moore battled side-by-side for three laps until Moore was able to move into the top spot on lap 28.
