Canaan. (NH) — Hopefully “Third Times The Charm” Friday night, August 12, when the Valenti Modified Racing Series returns to Stafford Motor Speedway, Stafford, CT., to settle some unfinished business.
The series will attempt to finish 48 laps to complete the running of the“Lincoln Tech 80” feature race that was stopped due to rain on June 24.

The North East Mini Stock Tour joined the fastest minis in the region for the 2nd annual Mini Stock Shootout at Thompson International Speedway Thursday night. The tour minis would compete in their own 20 lap points race as well as with the Thompson minis in a 20 lap shootout event.
Twelve NEMST prepared vehicles rolled into the pit area in the sweltering heat for the midweek event. Practice difficulties halted the movement of the 60 and 53 vehicles leaving a ten car field for the Northern style mini stocks.

Lee, NH – Lee USA Speedway played host to the annual David’s Race Cars and Components Hobby Stock Shootout 50-lapper on Friday night, with Groton, MA racer Geoff Rollins outrunning the biggest field of the season to collect the win.
Division sponsors David and Annette Joyce of David’s Race Cars and Components were on hand in the VIP tower celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, and they headed trackside to present Rollins with the hardware in the post-race victory lane ceremony.

Mike Stefanik of Coventry, R.I., joins RPM Motorsports to make his ACT Late Model Tour debut at the ACT All-Star Challenge at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H., on Friday and Saturday, August 12-13. The race will be run in two segments on Saturday, one 25-lap segment and one 50-lap segment. One of only two drivers in history to win nine NASCAR championships, Stefanik has never competed in an ACT-legal Late Model. The 23-year-old California native visited the N.H. State House to welcome fans to the Granite State with Governor John Lynch and NHMS executive vice president and general manager Jerry Gappens. Hildebrand then visited the Larz Anderson Museum in Boston, Mass. preparing for the 225 lap event on Aug. 14.
