Black Flags Fly in Shediac as Bourque scores “Grand Slam”
Sunday August 7th (Grand Barachois, NB) – Despite deteriorating weather throughout the day including a minor rain delay it was an exciting day of racing featuring local and visiting drivers during the POGO Inivtational 50’s here at the CENTRE for Speed.
Scott Bourque of Cap Pele, piloted his 69 Ministock to a “Grand Slam” in the MiniStock division edging out Josh Simon (#71) of Boucthouche at the finish line by less than a 12″ margin to capture a perfect day. Julien Leblanc (#07) of Haute Aboujagane picked up seconds in the Heat and Semi and a third in the Feature. Simon also had a strong day, picking up thirds in the Heat and semi, coupled with a second in the Feature. (more…)

LATE MODELS GET EXTRA DISTANCE RACE THIS THURSDAY AT THOMPSON
THOMPSON, CT. Late Model stock cars have played a major role in the success of Thursday night racing at the Thompson International Speedway. This week, August 11th, the race teams in the Late Model division will find themselves faced with the biggest challenge of the year. A 40-lap main event will bring out the best in each team as they will seek the coveted win of this extra distance race.

As the season heads into its final run to decide the champion, the Amsoil Nelcar Legends tour was back at Unity Raceway this past weekend for another thrilling event. As many of the top drivers in the series were set to start from the rear of the field, others who have yet to win were running out of time to do so, and tonight was a perfect opportunity to shine in the Unity lights. With 14 Legends Cars taking to the rough and tough track, the fans were treated to another great race.

Mike Stefanik, RPM Motorsports Team Up For ACT All-Star Challenge At New Hampshire Motor Speedway
GEORGIA, Vt. – The all-time winningest driver in NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour history will drive an RPM Motorsports car in the ACT All-Star Challenge at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend, RPM owner Rick Paya announced Monday.
Stefanik, who is one of only two drivers in history to win nine NASCAR touring championships, will drive the No. 57 RPM Racing Engines Ford as he makes his debut in an ACT Late Model.

Theriault Excited To Head To New Hampshire Motor Speedway
FORT KENT, Maine – When Austin Theriault heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway this time around, he’ll feel a whole lot more comfortable.
Theriault, who debuted at New England’s largest speedway as an ACT Late Model Tour rookie in 2010, goes back to the 1.058-mile oval for the first-ever ACT points-paying race with his family-owned team for the ACT All-Star Challenge on Friday and Saturday, August 12-13. Theriault is tied for seventh in the overall ACT standings and heads into the event off a fifth-place effort last time out at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. (more…)

Claims first Seekonk win
Seekonk MA (8/6) Johnny Clark cleared Joey Polewwarcyzk with seven to go in Saturday night’s Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North 150 at Seekonk (MA) Speedway to earn his fifth series win of 2011. Derek Ramstrom raced past Pole to claim second on lap148 and Pole ended his night third.

CT., took his turn in victory lane after capturing the Valenti Modified
Racing Series sanctioned, “Beech Ridge 100,” Saturday night, August 6, at the historic Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, Scarborough, ME.
Les Hinckley, of Windsor Locks, CT., and local favorite, David Pinkham,
Buxton, ME., swapped the lead back and forth in the early going with Pinkham taking the top spot leading laps 16 through 41.
